House got struck by lightning.

  It's official, our house is cursed by some form of higher being with all the disasters it suffers.
  
  
  Garage door
  Fan
  Xbox360 (somehow the Wii U which was plugged right next to it survived)
  Router
  Upstairs computer
  
  All dead.
  
  Found the exit point for the lightning, a light switch that is wonderfully charred black.
  
  Hurrah time to replace every single surge protector.
  
  Freaky thing is that i was up when this happened, i was on my computer, (downstairs) when all of a sudden, i see a bright flash where my router and modem and surge protector were, after that, the lights were out, the computer and modem were still running, but the router had to restart (it's sluggish and unresponsive now)
  
  Did i narrowly avoid death?

  That's not how lightning works though
  I mean if he were in a bathtub or washing his hands or something maybe, but I've been in a house that was struck by lightning and it only effects the electrical work and could possibly start a fire depending on where it hit

  I believe if your touching any form of metal connected to the house as well u can gain that electric feeling. In any case, this just goes to show u even being in a house doesnt protect u from lightning :U
