Will Resetting XBOX 360 to factory defaults delete my XBOX LIVE Profile?

possibly but luckily they has a thing called recover gamertag

although resetting may take your game saves and downloaded contents (which if all attached to one gamer tag is fine due to just having to download it from there but if have like 2 or more will have to redownload those gamer tags too and download the content back from them

No, it won't delete your XboxLive Gamertag or profile. Those are things that are connected on the internet and are used to just play online on an Xbox. You don't actually need a profile or gamertag in the first place.
