That does look cheap. But she may have got into something that took her attention. Don't be like me and read things into stuff so early, there's a 50% chance you're wrong. Or even more, depending on the number of plausible alernative scenarios.

I was acctually looking forward today. However the more i see things, the less i desire the outcome. So maybe she will text me around dinner and we can go then.
Though, i read things early yes, but my outcomes are generally more right then wrong.

I don't know what timezone you're in, but... I would not go hungry waiting for a girl to go grab lunch with. :|
She's not gonna text you for dinner, either. If she cared for you at all, she would have at least texted saying she can't make it.
Try a different girl next time. o/

This. Unless someone died she should have texted you to say she couldn't make it if nothing else. Waiting on her is a waste of time.

A great many girls are secretly bigger assholes than guys and this is exactly the kind of thing they pull.
They'll shit out excuses if you confront them like "my phone ran out of battery" or "my distant relative I never heard of until today died". Just pretend you believe them and cross them off your list of respectable human beings.

uh hello as a girl who does this all the time i would like to say its not bc im an asshole but because i feel terrible for rejecting someone straight out. that and it is likely that
1. they start whining at you&or guilt trip you
2. they start nagging you to tell them why you dont like them
3. they try to convince you otherwise
4. IT IS NOT WORTH MY TIME ok

Well, if you're rejecting them telling them why is common human decency. Can't fix a problem if everyone refuses to tell you about it.

Then they're also assholes

3. they try to convince you otherwise
Then they're persistent assholes
4. IT IS NOT WORTH MY TIME ok
Then be honest and tell them you're not interested. Better than lying about it and having them wonder what the hell is going on. This usually leads to the creation of a new asshole who will proceed to do #1 and 2, if not to you then to the next person.

Yeah, she never texted me back. So im going to assume she would rather hang out with deadbeats then an honest guy.

Pretty much what I do whenever I'm hit on
"I'm flattered but I'm not interested, sorry."
I've met a persistent asshole or two but it's really shitty to say okay to a date and just ignore them

Dunno... I wouldn't be that harsh. One thing to keep in mind is that while you, as a guy, may be interested in that one girl, the girl will probably have a bunch of guys hitting on her. You may be focusing all of your attention on her, while her attention is probably divided.
It certainly doesn't excuse the behaviour, but it's just a crappy reality you have to take into account and learn to live with as a guy. xP Being a guy sucks in some ways (same goes for girls), you just gotta learn to roll with the punches and not take things too seriously!
So like I've said, go try another girl. :D/
