The government of North Korea is not pleased with Seth Rogen’s upcoming film The Interview, calling it a “wanton act of terror.†The comedy film features two reporters hired by the CIA to assassinate the Korean dictator under the guise of an interview. Kim Jong Un has replied to this film, calling it a declaration of war and stating that if it is allowed to be released by the US government there would be "Merciless retaliation."

I will never understand how someone who went to a modern European school and made normal friends could end up like that... Kind of makes you wonder if he was born/raised brainwashed.

He was probably pressured by those around him to act on it. That, and/or the fact that N Korea has always been doing inexplicably weird things for odd reasons.

At least his father had a sense of humor, and didn't declare war on the U.S. for Team America: World Police. [S]Rather he just tried to have it banned in the Czech Republic.[/S]

For a dictatorship that goes to extreme measures to control what we see about their country they sure don't seem to care very much what we think of them.

what
Although, obviously Un's reaction is childish and ridiculous, I find the movie to be in bad taste. They're taking advantage of America's overall negative opinion on NK to make a movie about assassinating a real, LIVING human being look appealing/humorous. I think the whole "NK does it, so it's okay if we do" attitude is seriously inappropriate. We should be above petty crap like this. My opinion, though.

I'm almost positive they don't actually kill him in the movie.
I still see where you're coming from though. If another country made an entire movie about assassinating Obama... yeah. There'd be a shitstorm.

Yup. Double standards. If any person makes even a youtube movie about killing obama, the NSA would be all over them.
