Ruairi or Mari?

  Hello. Few days ago i've come back to Mabinogi. But i wasn't really enjoying much on my main.
  So i've decided to make another account (alt) for fun.
  
  Now, i'd like to make one on the other servers. Ruairi or Mari.
  The reason i didn't mention Alexina is because i've played before and i had really bad server lag. Because i live in Europe.
  
  So i just wanted to ask, which server should i join? Mari or Ruairi?

  Concerning server lag, i do not think any of the servers make it easier. However if you want to play with a good mabination player base its either Ruairi and Alexina.

  The only thing that's bad about Ruairi is the high prices(particularly fashion), but other than that, it's good(I usually find friendly people on ch4, as opposed to ch2, and seems people tend to regulate which ch they play on). I think the population is very fair here, not too little(but less new players than Alexina), and not too many(less event/boss hunting competition than Alexina for sure~).
  
  Honestly, though, I would ask any close friends you have to see if they play on any servers before you decide, because it's best to join them. My friend was on Tarlach for years and finally decided to join Ruairi. He didn't regret anything except not having maid hair, but I know he spent money on Tarlach.

  I doubt 90% of people who will reply in this thread is qualified to give an opinion on which of the two servers to go to and why. I think you should just take a leap of faith and go with what you may or may not think is best, rather than depend on others to help you make the choice.
  
  Personally, I'm currently in Ruairi and have never been in Mari so I am also not qualified to help you decide one way or the either.

  My in-game transfer friends are mostly from Mari (I play on Alexina), while I see a lot more Ruairi players on Mabination (perhaps Ruairi players are less likely to server jump?). Since you're already on the forums here, it might be more fun to try Ruairi, but both are pretty much equal.

  Just so you know. I just looked at the active server populations, and there is almost no difference between Tarlach, Mari, and Ruairi. However Alexina has twice as much people on as any of the other three servers. Of course these are populations of those who were online at the time and could change depending on when others log on.

  One other thing you might consider is, do you lag(FPS-wise) around many people? If so, maybe a lower population server would be better for that. Otherwise, if you don't lag in high populated areas, then that doesn't matter.
  
  PS: Although, in the case of Mari vs. Ruairi... I don't think that really applies since both are about equal. Really the only difference I can think of is the communities and economy. Is there a certain type of guild you would like to join? Maybe go guild searching for active guilds, and see which server they are on.

  I have a friend on Mari who nicknamed it, Dramari.
  I never spent more than a day on it though, so I have no idea how the community there is. I'd assume it's about the same and varies on luck/time/place/channel.
  
  Dunno about other servers but from my experience the amount of regular nice/mean people seems to be steady when it comes to the people that choose to stay on their favorite channel, and you'll see shops by the same people in that channel, and the same people in Dunbarton and Tara banquet. So you could be on one channel that regularly houses a majority of groups of elitists who look down on new/weak/poor players or can't take jokes, and then another channel which regularly has a majority of fun-loving people who don't care of your level or anything.

  I haven't done much on Ruairi but since making my new account, I've made friends with a group of people on Mari that have been quite kind and helped me catch up on the times. (I never played the game much before now)
  I haven't seen many mea. People, but as Fran said, it really depends. You will find all types of people in each server. Before meeting these people, I mostly kept to myself haha.
