No pools
Oh, no, I can't drown my Sims! However will I get rid of these unwanted Sims and create my perfect graveyard?
No toddlers
Probably not as much of a turn off as some would believe
No create a style (CAST) AND NOT TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE IN FUTURE EXPANSION
It could always be possible in a future expansion, but it's not a necessity. It's still a damned nice feature to have.
No garages
Whoop-dee-do
No gardeners (who is going to cut my lawn?)
I dunno, you?
No basements
Since when have we ever had basements?
No cars (or limited as décor)
Not terribly many people used those, to be honest.
No visible jobs/schools
Great! I can finally have my children stay home and work on the farm instead of go to that pesky school!
No modifications to public places/parks
Source?
No favorites (food, color, music)
From the descriptions on the article, it actually sounds like quite the opposite; that we'll be setting all of them ourselves.
No turn ons / turn offs
See above
No swimming / swimwear, period. Including lakes, fountains, etc.
Again, however will I live without drowning my Sims? It stated that you wouldn't be able to build your own pools. It never said anything about buying a pre-built pool.
No rabbit holes at all (sadly the fix was the sim goes off screen instead of fixing it so the locations were working lots)
Whoop-dee-do
No private schools
No problem
Fewer floors/levels
5.5 was too much, apparently
Incompatible simpoint currency
Whatever the hell that means, I doubt it's going to be something to worry about.
32-bit executable (one of many unnecessary (Intel has not sold 32-bit processors in like 7+ years?!?!?) and poor design decisions).
You'd be surprised how many people are still using 32-bit.
Loading screens (likely due to the issue above)
Oh my gawd, a LOADING SCREEN? SACRÉ BLEU!!!
Much smaller "worlds" (although they can be connected somehow with DLC)
This is Sims. EVERYTHING is DLC.
Teens are same height as adults and they along with elders all look nearly identical.
Source?
Like I said before, multiple of those weren't even mentioned in the article. Just calm your man-tits and wait for more official information before bitching or panicking.
Quote from Campylobacter jejuni;1228950:
THe biggest issue will eventually be the pricetag like with every Sims game.
Yeah, this one (all DLC's inc.) will probably cap $300.
