Has anyone else noticed the huge amount of lag you get from opening up the map of a moongate/manatunnel is completely gone and lag-free?
:skip:
It isn't just me, right? Anyone else notice it?
Now if they could just fix the lag from pressing C, T, and L...

5 FPS in Iria, you lied to me son.
I'm on Windows 8 though, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I still get the horrible frame dropping at moongate/mana tunnel maps as well, running windows 7 RTM with an AMD Radeon HD 6870 with latest drivers, my girlfriend also gets it on windows 7 SP1 with a GeForce 650TI boost, so it's pretty clearly not a windows 8 exclusive or nVidia/AMD exclusive issue.

It seems that for some reason it's very CPU-intensive. Still getting huge FPS drop when opening mana tunnel map, a bit less when opening moon gates. It may be related to the amount of spots it has to check or put on map.
Btw, besides of opening the message log, I haven't noticed too much of a delay when opening other windows, except when doing it on Dunbarton square ;)

Cool.
Still bothers me that moon gates have to "power up" while I'm running towards them and usually aren't finished for another 4-5 seconds when I'm ready to click them.

Huh, that is weird. I used to lag like hell when opening them(to the point I could barely move my mouse), but it seems all gone for me... and I am pretty sure my laptop has been only deteriorating in performance as time goes on. @_@ I have every moongate/mana tunnel available too, so I wonder what caused it to stop lagging for me. I'm on windows 7.

I still lag like crazy when I click on a moongate/mana tunnel. And I have Windows 7.

It's mana tunnels that do this for most people, not moon gates. It appears to be related to the way the "you are here" marker is calculated, somebody removed that with an experimental patch and noted their framerate improved drastically.

I've never noticed any frame drops when opening either the moon gate or mana tunnel interface. This is how it always has been for me:

Whatever it is must not be in any way related to the chat history lag because I still get that when I open it up.

That's how it is for me now, all of a sudden. D:
I don't know why it isn't for everyone, though... I swear I don't have any mods.
