kind of depends on what the job is though. If he said he could do certain types of manual labor then gets the job and can't do it there's a problem. Now if he got shoved into that job by his parents who talked with the boss then it's a whole other matter...

What is the general range of weight you're expected to lift at work, and what would you say is the top weight he can handle without hurting himself? Sounds like while he's not all that useful physically, he doesn't want to put all the work on you, so maybe setting aside things he can load himself and gradually increasing the weight over the summer as he becomes more capable, while still frustrating, would at least increase his usefulness. It would probably also give you points with your boss, especially if the situation is Osay's latter scenario.

In Canada (or Quebec, iunno), you can work if you are under 16 if you have parental consent.
