Also, dragons are a thing these days. Just like zombies a while ago. Wherever you go: art portals, many recent games or even rule34 - there are dragons everywhere.

I really don't like the summon effect when you're in town looking for stuff in their inventory, but it's really useful in battle.
I noticed that the sound for the food cart summon AOE is silent, though...

mods get rid of a few of the older AoE blast animations, if you're into that kind of thing

They look nice, they're handy, and they have big inventories.

or, "donating to the game you all play".
In response to the thread question, most people buy dragons (as others said) for use in PvE. I didn't really think players looked that deeply into the reasoning behind buying or owning a pet in mabinogi.

Or donating to/funding the game you play..
In response to the thread question, as many others said most people use them for crowd control and debuffs to make missions/dungeons run a bit smoother. I never really thought people looked that deep into the logic behind owning a particular pet.

"Why do people buy dragons?"
For spam them? :whisper:

I remember when thunder dragons and fire dragons first came out. Everyone was trying to get a free armor for elf. I never bothered since I thought the armor was ugly as hell even back when I had even worse fashion sense.

I agree that the armor is ugly. I still use it though until I have accumulated enough adventure seals to get the one from the seal shop. It's not really an issue for me since I have my style tab too, but otherwise I'd probably cover it up with a robe.
But yeah, it wasn't the armor for me as to why I got any of them. I got the dragons because they are dragons. And because I basically always get any new limited pet. I am a collector I suppose and I have always been a big fan of dragons, so I just couldn't pass up to owning them. Limited pets also have a bigger inventory so that's always more than welcome. And the AoE summon is just a small bonus.
Ever since I started playing, I was hoping for them to get released again since I wasn't playing yet when they got released back then.
