[Mabinogi-KR] 10th Anniversary Round 2: Cave of Trials and Food Fighter

  KR released round 2 of the events a couple days ago. One of the big things in it is the Cave of Trials. Still in the process of testing some of the restrictions but here is some knowns about it.

  • As of 7/17 the difficulty scales to your cumulative level but is still extremely difficult once you reach Boss 6. I managed to get past Claimh Solas only to get hit by Merrow's water attack and die :/
    
  • It's a Boss Rush in an Alby Boss Room with 10 Bosses you fight
    
  • To enter talk to the Goblin NPC by the moving Glas entrance (Must have Cave of Trials Ticket in inventory. You get 3 daily)
    
  • Each Boss you defeat nets you a reward chest (1x1) and a title that gives progressively better stats to Str/Will/Luck/Int/Dex/HP/Stam/MP (Each new title after the first seems to be +1 of the stats before it and the HP/Stam/MP is double the other stats. Example: 6th title for beating Claimh Solas is +6 Str/Will/Luck/Int/Dex and +12 HP/Stam/MP)
    
  • Boss Order: Giant Spider > Golem > Siren > Black Succubus > Golden Golem > Claimh Solas > Merrow > Grim Reaper > Master Lich > Glas
    
  • Bosses are harder and stronger than normal
    
  • When you die there is only one option that appears and that's to return to town
    
  • Unsure if Phoenix Revivals bypass the above. Revival Balloons do not work inside this mission
    
  • Cannot summon Shadow Minions (Dungeon is in the format of a Shadow Mission)
    
  • Pets cannot be summoned inside the mission
    
  • Food appears to not be consumable inside the mission
    
  • You get 3 attempts a day
    
  • It's solo only
    
  • Prizes include Herbs, Repair Kits, various Buff Potions, various enchants, various healing potions, Kristell homestead mini, upgrade stones, 2x exp potions, demonic weapons

  [SIZE="5"]Food Fighter[/SIZE]
  
  Become super fat with some massive food dishes! This event is basically everyday gorge yourself with 4 different absurd food dishes for an M coin, Diet Potion (You'll need it), and Anniversary Box. There's a daily quest that rewards that and requires you to eat all 4 of the new dishes. The last one you eat for the quest makes you mega fat but that goes away when you relog.

  • 15% Slice of Cheese, 15% Bacon, 70% 1st Food Fighter Ingredient (auto obtain 3 daily upon login) = Burning Cheese Fries

  • 35% Whipped Cream, 30% Chocolate, 35% 2nd Food Fighter Ingredient (You get during the quest after talking to the Chef NPC in Mabiland once you eat the Burning Cheese Fries. 3 Daily) = Devil's Cookie Shake

  • 20% Chocolate Banana (Bought from NPC in Mabiland), 10% Soft Serve Ice Cream (Bought from NPC in Mabiland), 70% 3rd Food Fighter Ingredient (You get during the quest after talking to the NPC in Mabiland near the Cotton Candy Cart Prop once you eat the Devil's Cookie Shake. 3 Daily) = Giant Crocodile

  • 35% Large Meat, 45% Large Cheese, 20% 4th Food Fighter Ingredient (You get during the quest after talking to the Giant NPC once you eat the Giant Crocodile. 3 Daily) = Burger for Strengthening Internal Organ

  • The other 3 foods you eat for the quest can make you gain wait at full hunger bar so save that diet potion you get as a reward from the quest or go to the Hot Springs
    
  • Makes even 10 year olds look like giant overbloated balloons
    
  • Relogging returns you to your normal look
    
  • You can't use a lot of things when you are really large so relogging after you complete the quest is kind of required

  Very difficult. I don't think anyone with only 1 or 2 max skillsets will be able to complete it. You're going to want several >.>

  Raincast, Sand Burst, and Hydra are all you'll probably need to clear all the rounds. Doesn't seem to have any noteworthy rewards though.

  Ugh. Nerf Raincasting and Hydra to oblivion already. 2 bloody skills shouldn't be the end all for every god damn challenge presented to players.
  
  I personally refuse to touch those skills for this very reason. Same reason why I refuse to use puppets.

  Well it's unfair to have arc lich in there unless other attacks do more than 1's. Otherwise you have to get the steeds to aggro you and play dead next to the lich which usually leads to you being dead as well. If you want to live then hydra would be your best bet.

  It's Master Lich actually. I mistyped the name. Either way, players need to give themselves a challenge instead of relying on cheap broken skills to pull their weight. When this comes, I plan on relying on pure skill to beat it. No Lullaby, No Alchemy, No Puppets, Fox Only, Final Destination.

  Somersault Kick. Magic Shields. Vales Defense. Blaze/Smokescreen invulnerability could also work. Mana Shield can also knock nearly all incoming attacks to less than 3% of their actual damage.
  
  Also, I like how you cannot summon pets during the mission. They should extend that to hard+ shadow missions and dungeons.
  
  Also, I like how this won't be permanent content.
