I rarely use Dueling Network anymore due to dumb plays and bad experience with some of the player base in terms of rulings and such...
That's being said, I do play the game in real life... Been an avid Madolche, Noble Knight, and Monarch player... I also carry other decks like Kao'ki Fist, H.A.T., Geargia, Gusto, Plant-Hime, and Mermails...

lucky xD I only have like 1 deck. It be great if I could come over to your place to duel! Or if we could duel on dueling network. And what dumb plays and bad experinces? Only horrible thing I seen was ppl leaving when I use certain deck or when they don't want to admit defeat.

My deck was stolen 8 years ago. Ever since then, quit card games.

I used to play a long itme ago, I actually still love the game but
When I tried that website a few years ago I was made aware of those Syncro cards. Cards so op that most non-syncro decks dont have a chance.
Those really made me want to not play anymore cause it's not fun to play against syncro.
In RL I had a Burn Deck mixed with Ocean theme. I called it the Oil Ocean Deck.
Most of my cards were for Direct damage to life point while the other cards were for the ultimate Defence, Tornado Wall (Continues Trap card, as long as the field "Umi" is on the field, all damage to your life point is reduced to 0). I had all sort of cards to prevent the destruction of Tornado wall and umi, and more than just one field. I have the traditional Umi card, I had the Legendary Ocean card which by it's own effect change it's name to Umi, I even had a monster that as long as she was on the field her effect was to be considered an active Umi.
Also while I didn't use it all too often cause it's pretty hard to pull off, I had the ultimate Burn Combo in my side deck. 7200 life point damage per turn, all automatic once the combo is set up.
I hate syncro -.-
On that website syncro were so annoying, I had made an illegal deck just to annoy syncro user. They knew my deck was illegal but they still took the chalenge and they all lost. The One Turn Kill Deck. The entire deck is made to make you draw cards on your first turn and discard them, always picking more and more cards until you finally get the ultimate one. which for an healthy cost of life point let both player switch your deck and graveyard. If you had the first turn, then the opponent doesnt have a single card in the graveyard, which create an Empty deck. The rule You automatically lose if unable to draw anymore cards from the deck" applies. If you didn't have the first turn, the opponent deck is still very small with 1-2-3 cards maybe. A few cards can be kept in your hand to delete those as well before your turn if over.

I still check up on the newer cards from time to time but haven't really played much. I want to see more general type and/or attribute support instead of these overly specific themes that just happen to share a common type/attribute, especially since the metagame seems heavily dictated by only a handful of the newest themes at any given time. Pretty much the only thing that would get me excited again would be if a Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan deck ever became legitimately viable. I feel like there was wasted potential when they never followed up with that concept.

Tried that site once, found nothing but people who didn't speak English(Nothing against people that don't, but I can't exactly understand them) and people who didn't understand the rules/constantly tried to cheat. I think it's probably hard to make a cheat-proof online Yugioh thing because of the various weirdass effects cards have.
As for playing in real life I don't actively play because I don't know anyone that does and the only tournament within an hour drive shut down. I still have my cards though, unfortunately. I tried to sell them but people were like, "Lol 3000 cards? I'll give you $5." Then I informed them where they could shove their $5.

Lol yea people had that reaction to synchros, but they're not that op. If you run stables starlight road, bottomless trap hole, dimensional prison, solemn warning, solemn judgement, emergency composary device, book of moon, torrential tribute and other cards.
If you think synchros are op xD wait till you see exceed and pendulum summoning those are really op.
When I play online, my random usually have me dueling English speakers and usually others that don't say anything that just duels. If you know what sort of play they're gonna do you don't really need to talk to them. If anyone want to duel me on the network that would be fun. And I online I use a cheap deck that's legal and I still win xD
For in real life decks I only have a few. I have Pendulum Deck, Atltean Deck, Chaos Dragon Deck, Black Wings Deck, Dragunity Deck, D.D Deck, Fairy Deck, Up-Beat Warrior Deck, Budget Warrior Deck, Synchron Deck, Fabled Deck, Dark World Deck, Chaos Deck, Aesir Nordic Deck, Spellcaster Deck, Naturia Deck, I think there are more ,but don't use often.

I don't see why people hate the changes. They're not all that powerful. Synchros are basic addition you need 1 tuner and 1 non tuner, so 4 star tuner + 4 star non-tuner= level 8 synchros. For exceeds they go by rank, so for like a rank 4 monster you would overlay 2 level 4 monster to exceed summon a rank 4. Unless the card says you need 3 level 4 or 2 light level 4 monster and etc. And for pendulum monster all you do is set the scale. So for an example I set the scale from left to right, Stargazer Magician Scale 1 and Timegazer Magician Scale 8 which then I can pendulum summon any pendulum monster from my extra deck and any monster from my hand between the two scale so only monster level 2-7.

Basically, starting with synchros the game went downhill. It has become a game of "Spend hundreds of dollars to get the same OP deck everyone else is using or you can't possibly win and will lose in 2 turns if you even make it that far." And if I wanted that I would be playing Magic The Gathering.
Back in my day you could actually make fun decks and enjoy the game and still have a chance of winning. Now if you don't use the same cookie cutter deck as everyone else you're wasting your money going to tournaments because you'll be out in the first round.

Nope you're wrong. My deck is an old deck with no synchro, exceed, pendulum, fusion, ritual and I still win duels. You don't even need to spend $100 for a good deck. I spent 20 to make a six samurai deck and sold it for 100. You can even buy 3 big inner deck or structure deck and still be able to win. Sure some people have the same deck and spends millions on better quality cards. Doesn't mean they're always win there is still the luck of your hand. Plus it's a strategy game you can turn a duel around of you know what you're doing. I enter the tournament only once and reached 2nd place, I was using a deck that was consider low tier and everyone thought I was gonna lose on first round, but nope got 2nd place cuz of that effing trishula. But it was fun I saw some interesting plays and new cards I didn't even know existed.

I used to play, but that was a long time ago. I was an AVID collector of the cards. ^_^'
Brings back memories. I have watched the anime, until GX, I think.
But as you can see, that was when I was still under-developed.

Only yugioh anime I watch was the Gx series. I haven't played yugioh since I graduated from high school so about a 1year and something months.

six samurai deck
That's proving my point, not denying it. When Six Samurai came out everyone was using them. Every single tournament deck. Anyone who wasn't playing SS or a deck specifically made to shut them down got swarmed by the second or third turn with no way of recovering. Just instantly dead in one turn. And then when the next set came out there was a new set of monsters that everyone was using and could only be beaten by the same deck or a deck specifically made to beat them. I don't know how you managed to get that far, seeing as "I play 20 cards in one turn, attack for 20,000 LP and you can't activate or play anything." can't be recovered from. You're definitely the exception, not the rule.
