Steam won't patch Mabinogi (SEEKING IMMEDIATE HELP)

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I did. Twice. Didn't help. I even went so far as to create an even more detailed topic repost on steam just in case I can't get an answer from you guys. (steamcommunity. com/app/212200/discussions/0/43099721610514260/) And hard connecting to the box I heard can fix it, but I don't have the room to go that route and a lot of my irl friends play it just fine wirelessly without any hard connection to the ethernet.

I get this sometimes.... open the steamapps mabinogi folder and run mabinogi.exe AS ADMINISTRATOR directly... I usually just restart my computer when this happens.

Yeah, thing is I have restarted my computer quite a bit of times recently when running defragmenting scans and cleaning up my comp. Even after the restart it still doesn't work. I don't think I've tried to run it as an admin though. Ill give that a shot once I finish downloading Mabi jp.

I'm talking about Steam's client for mabi. Steam itself usually doesn't update the game, the client does. Only thing is my steam client's all "huehuehue no Mabi 4 u" I can use the web client and the nexon launcher client just fine (though the NL one has more lag than the web one and crashes easily) so this is why I'm saying there's something wrong with the client from steam specifically as it was working once before but now something got screwed up along the way and it seems I'm the only one experiencing it even after uninstalling/reinstalling and restarting my computer multiple times.
