Hi all,
I commerce quite often and plan to rank up commerce mastery in the near future, but I'm not sure if I should get one since it's only 1 slot and 100 weight? Also, are they like maids/butlers where they can help you gather stuff?
The 50% off makes it VERY tempting but still not sure if it's worth spending $9 on.
Any thoughts/opinions from people who already have one would be much appreciated :)

They can help you gather stuff like the basic kind, but they need to reach much higher disposition before they do.

Decisions, decisions... :(
I can't decide if I should get her either :[ I have a maid already but would much rather have had a commerce partner.
Like, I want that extra 100 weight, 1 item slot boost.
But, do I want nine dollars worth of 100 extra weight, 1 item slot boost?
I'd really like to get it and take advantage of the commerce event this weekend though.

If you get a commerce partner, don't get it simply to take advantage of this weekend. If you only commerce this weekend, and then never again, don't get it. Many people are planning on commercing this weekend, and if you don't understand why it's bad that many people are commercing this weekend, then you probably shouldn't get a commerce partner.
I commerce. I used to commerce alot, now, not as much because I can earn better money in other ways. I have a commerce partner, and the extra slot and extra weight is really helpful. Usually, you either make use of one or the other; even though the partner gives you both, you'll find youself either capping in slots or capping in weight, but not both. If you commerce enough, you'll make those nine dollars back really fast. And right now its 50% off. I bought it when it was full price and I haven't broken even yet.
As for the double gather aspect, it requires wayyyy too much disposition to maintain and use IMO. I've had mine for a while and the double gather isn't worth the trouble.
TL;DR: If you commerce often, get it. If you plan to get it simply for this weekend, don't get it.

Alpaca pet adds 2 slots and 200 weight if you can use wagon, so it's better than partner. Although you're gonna have to wait for whenever it's available again.

At 180 Disposition it has a chance of giving you surprise gifts along with requesting a gift. That's two chances at getting an elite pass for the daily or a chance at a Special Partner Gift Box.

Both the Alpaca and the Commerce Partner have their uses in Commercing. Some people aren't making it clear that the Alpaca can only be used on the horse-driven cart, while the commerce partner can be used for all forms of commercing (backpack, cart, horse cart, elephant). So if you are a starting commerce merchant, the partner's 100 + 1 Slot is useful for carrying additional goods. You can also desummon the Commerce Partner while commercing so you don't run out on their timer.
The partner's inventory is 6x10. And as someone else has mentioned, you can use them for fashionogi purposes if you want. (Cosplaying the name you give them perhaps?)
Disposition is not difficult to maintain while harvesting so long as you are taking care of their stress level in a timely manner. Feeding partners Stamina 10s when they have 90% hunger will take of that that quite easily. (Each SP 10 is -10 Stress which is 10 gather attempts). Also prevent their hunger from going to low or you'll lose disposition that way too. Keeping it between 80~95 should be plenty easy considering the amount of food you can just buy from the shops. I usually keep strawberries in their inventory but you could use anything.
The only thing people need to consider is that the partner is on for 50% off. That's one hell of a good deal that probably won't happen again.

Arat Berries are also effective in reducing stress; they add nothing to hunger.

My poor Commerce Partner spends a lot of time stumbling around, tripping out, and seeing invisible monsters. It keeps her stress-free though. :thumb:
