They should've just made the master title cut the CD time in half...
Makes more sense to me.
I would actually try to master Meteor Strike if that was the case then.
But then, we will end up seeing lot of people bitching about how they loses out on 50+ magic attacks.
But the easy solution would be so we can do those two bonus in Meteor Strike master title.
But AGAIN, we'll have people bitching that it's too overpowered even though 15 minutes cooldown for Meteor are still pushing it a bit on the absurdity rate.

the problem with meteor is that it's pretty useless. You either use it at the start or end of a dungeon and then forget about it because of the cooldown.
In the time it takes to cooldown meteor you can theoretically cast 90 fireballs (excluding snap casted ones), I know there some really powerful mages out there but no matter what your stats are 90 fireballs is going to do a lot more damage than your 1 meteor.
So as a one-off skill yes it's awesome but as something that's actually useful or serving a purpose not so much.

I'm not understanding the argument for meteor...
are people arguing that the damage it does in a single strike is cannot be justified by the cooldown because of how much damage can be done without using it?
Look at it this way, what would you rather do:
meteor + fireball + fireball + fireball
or
fireball + fireball + fireball + fireball?
I do not see the point of telling us how many fireballs you can cast in the cooldown time of meteor. Can your fireball, or any other skill, do the equivalent of a meteor strike in the time it takes to cast it? If not, then meteor is fine. Instead of comparing by saying " use this while this is on cooldown", compare it by saying, "if I incorporate meteor strike into my skill chain instead of some other skill, how much will my damage be boosted by? can any other skill match that?" and then you take the amount of damage you could do over that half hour period and compare it to doing damage through any other method over the half hour period. Its not like you're doing meteor strike damage one time and then waiting another half hour without doing damage. you meteor strike, and then cast your fireballs. you'll do more damage that way than casting fireballs without casting meteor strike ever, i guarantee it.
I am not saying that meteor strike is overpowered. I'm simply saying that it's meant to be a one-off skill the way its made, reducing the cooldown would certainly lead to a spike in a mage's damage that is really not necessary. When you think of the skill, you also have to think of the skillset, and whether people using the skill can also use other skills, and how fair it will be to people that can't use that skill. Magic right now is fine, decreasing meteor's cd would drastically increase the mage's damage output in a skillset that really does not need much tweaking.

Oh great, another Meteor Strike debate..
Anyways, I think that those "special upgraded weapons" will be mediocre at best.

Perhaps they intend to supply untradable weapons and untradable stones for you to try special upgrading yourself?

I have a feeling that it'll just be weapons that can't be upgraded but have high damage. (Like beamswords, black stars, etc.)

Isn't Iria already Africa-like? I mean there's a Savannah, jungle, desert... All kinds of native African animals. Unless they mean a town with architecture.
I would like to see an Asia-based world especially if there's towns, though, kind of like Dokidoki.

Actually, a lot of the buildings on Doki Doki were actually in the pack files for much longer and were intended to be used in an oriental land (not Nekojima), but they got scrapped. They planned on doing it twice, in G8 and G12 (I believe the current models are from G12), who knows maybe the next gen will finally be it.
If you look at NPC keyword responses, exploration quest info, item descriptions, among other things in G4-7 (and G8?) you will see references to an oriental land east of Iria. Since G9 there has been no references to that place, and I have no idea if the new place they plan on making, if they plan on making any new place, will be it. For all we know they could release a completely different oriental land and decide to not draw C2 connections to it. Thing about the C2 developer was, he didn't like mainstream quest chains, he was pressured into G7 and G8. He preferred to convey the stories from word of mouth of NPCs, slowly finding things out from separate places. Among the oriental lands, you can also find stories regarding Metus and the Giant Civil War this way. (Be sure to use likability potions for alternate NCP responses too if I interested you into going and reading shit.)

And I think for Ninja update, Anzu and Hagi mention being from the oriental land east of Iria as well.

That's very possible. We don't have very many JP translators at hand for us to assign someone the job of translating screenshoted text (or make them do the quest chain themselves), so its possible. I hope they do.

We're getting it this week anyways so we'll have our answer to all things ninja related Wednesday. I just hope KR doesn't do anything while I'm away at the DR. They can do all the updating they want when I return as I have no further big summer plans scheduled.

That's Vindictus realm, not Mabinogi realm. IIRC, they're two different worlds/dimensions.
Everyone says that, but "Vindictus" characters were mentioned in mabinogi by a g7~8 character, almost 2 years prior to the release of vindictus.
Who knows, maybe the vindictus characters will become ace or "hero" talents in the future.

Vindictus also predates Mabinogi.
Specifically, the Saga 2 releases the seal of Erinn to reveal a world unknown before, not the Vindictus's world.
I highly doubt that Vindictus characters will be main NPCs in the new storyline.
