I believe it's referring to those alchemist points you get via SM'ing and helping others. Just a guess, though.
  • Phunkie wrote on 2010-08-28 19:36
If you're not a Royal Alchemist, you can't possibly have any of those points when applying though.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...

Sinead also states when directly asked about the points that they won't allow you to become/remain a royal alchemist. Implying that the points can only harm you (if you don't have enough) but don't improve your chances in any way. Besides, that would sway things way to far in favor of existing alchemists.

    Alchemy drama -.-

Edit: Mabinogi Wiki and Google have failed me. I'll check the Jp wiki but it's likely that I won't find anything.

I want to say those Alchemist points or whatever. They are supposed to reset every week.

I am still Royal Alchemist without really doing anything, lol.

Might want to ask around existing royal alchemists in your server and compare how many points they spent in alchemy skills vs how many you spent. Alchemist points don't really matter in helping you stay royal alchemist, other than to qualify you to stay again. It's like... the application process for royal alchemists, since we can't apply again.

I've been looking into this stuff recently, as I haven't gotten selected again in two weeks.

When you ask Sinead about the position, she says there are three qualifications:

    1. Skill - your Alchemy skills
    2. Reputation - the Journal
    3. Loyalty - ???

read the text and don't spam though it and you would know that it means if you completed g9-11 you get a better chance
the points we earn after getting royal have no effect on your position unless of coarse you have under 60. having more then 60 just allows for a safety net if you have to be gone for more then a few days

^This. You need 60 points to keep your job. This stops someone from getting r1 of every alch skill and having a decent journal from leaving the game for half a year and taking up a Royal Alch slot the entire time.
