No one wants to pay for mediocrity, which is all you get with MMOs.
Guild Wars 2 is fucking rad

TESO is definitely a cash grab. It's not even developed by bethesda.
Just another copy paste mmo destined to go free to play and then close before its 10 year mark.
GW2 fixed a very large number of problems I've had with MMO's for a long time.
And then ruined itself with the worst combat imaginable. Close one ArenaNet. You almost had it.

Every new MMO tries to be the next big mmo
instead of making a stable mmo where they have a manageable content update schedule
The only MMO that fits the latter is FFXIV: ARR
Which likes to shoot itself in the face with bad decision making at times.
If GW2 has Dragon Nest combat, that game would be god tier.
Their design philosophy is too strict but that's common with MMOs.
They're still the 2nd fastest updating MMO in the market and the expansion is coming out after version 2.5 (early next year or summer release).
Majority of MMO players are more concerned with breadth than depth.
Also, the playerbase actually continue to increase the year after launch. The only other MMOs in the past decade to achieve this are WoW and EVE
Dragons Nest combat is way too flashy and juggle heavy for me.
I like that more mmo's are heading in the action oriented route, but it feels weird when everyone who isn't a boss or miniboss weighs 12 ounces and is cooldown cycle fodder. Dynasty Warriors enemies are boring and repetitive once the novelty wears off.
Tera combat felt a little better, but locked animations felt so artificial and most enemies were pretty boring too.
I'm hoping to see more complex action mmorpg's in the future, without too much fluff and flash. (not that I'll have time to ever play them anymore)
EVE just feeds on player desire to destroy each other on a grandiose scale.
