Trouble launching Vindictus using steam and redeemning DLC

So I'm kind of new to steam, only really installed it to puchase the Permanent Storage Upgrade x3, however after purchasing it and installing Vindictus via steam, I havent been able to get the game to load via the Steam interface. All I get is "A system error has occurred. Please try again later. (Error 0)". Have tried obvious things like restarting, patching the client from the .exe, etc. The game works fine if I run via the .exe.

Also, I can't seem to find anywhere (I checked my email, steam, purchase history, etc) the code I'm supposed to recieve after purchasing to use in-game.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

try to set the exe to run in administrator mode see if that works.

The sounded like a good reason, I changed my admin settings. Still doesn't work, same error. Really don't want to deal with Nexon customer support

If it's error 0 then it's problem with either your IP or server side:

In the meantime, it may be worth a try to reset your router, or change your IP to static IP (internet provider doesn't autochange your IPs).

Okay, so I made progress with trouble shooting.
I didn't think it was IP/router related as I mentioned earlier I could play the game just fine without using steam to launch it. Also, I never experience the 10 minute lockout they give you on accessing your mailbox when your IP changes upon login.

In the login in window, I attempted to login without selecting a Server, which prompted me to first link that account with Steam, which I obliged, and it launched vindictus and prompted me to make a new character (probably logged me into the West server or something) so instead I relogged, picking the Australian server and managed to login without hitch.

The problem still remains that I still can't seem to find anywhere that displays the code I should recieve for purchasing the DLC.
