So I had held off on posting this for a while, but as time has gone on, it's gotten worse. For starters, this is how the Mabinogi Website has looked for a little under a month for me:
http://puu.sh/ao6ZL/03588fb6a1.jpg
dat cash shop corruption
I've run CCleaner, defragmented, I've uninstalled and reinstalled a multitude of browsers, checked my registry, used many different browsers, all to the result of nothing. For some reason, my gaming rig refuses to load the website past what you see up there.
To further that,
a week ago the cash shop in-game does the exact same thing, saying the server cannot be reached at all half the time. I've not bothered with any computer updates (as I am very particular with what I do and don't allow) and I haven't changed my browsing habits, nor installed new software.
So what gives?

Does it do this from any computer in your home or only that one?
-

Only my personal desktop, my tablet, all our smart devices, TV, and the three other laptops have no issues loading the website or any related features.

Do you have nagle algorithm and/or MTU modified on that PC?
-
Aushria wrote on 2014-07-23 20:57
Only when playing Mabi, do I mess with MTU. I don't recall ever having disabled nagle, although it is disabled on my laptop, so the likelihood is high. However, I restore my MTU to default values whenever I am logged off the game.

I've seen MTU/nagle cause weird issues with the mabi home page before so might be worth making sure. You also usually need to reboot to make sure the changes apply properly for nagle, while MTU should be fine just resetting the NIC.
If your PC has a secondary network card or wifi try disabling your primary connection and hook up to your network on one of those to see if that solves it.
Right now might not be the best time to test though... nexon exploded.

are you saying I should re-enable nagle if it is disabled? I'm not quite sure I understood what you mean; which is mostly my fault due to being sleepy.

I connect using a PCI express card, since I am in the basement and do not have proper access to the wired connection on the first floor. =/

Yeah, I noticed, kind of sad that they underestimated the server traffic...
again.

I mean to leave nagle in its default state, which is enabled. Also to make sure your MTU is at default. Then reboot and test (once nexon is back to 100%).

Alright, thanks for the clarification. I'll do that once they get their act together... haha..

What exact version of windows?
What's the command/method you're using to change and restore your MTU?
What are you changing the MTU back to?
What method do you connect to the router with?
What's the model of the interface (onboard LAN controller, wireless card/device) you use?
Are you using a static internal IP on that machine or the default DHCP setup?
If static to the above, what DNS server do you have set?
Have you tried disabling hardware accelerated rendering in the various browsers?

Windows 7 professional (OEM)
128 is what I lower it to.
1500 is what I restore it to.
PCI-express card
Linksys WMP600N Wireless-N PCI Adapter With Dual-Band #2
Default is Static, haven't tinkered with it due to my ISP being dictatorial jerks.
I am using Open DNS right now as I cannot even play Mabi without it.
Attempted, likely failed or not known what I am doing.

Your ISP is probably the problem...me thinks it hates your computer.
-
Aushria wrote on 2014-07-24 02:41
I wouldn't doubt that, as 95% of all web activity in this house takes place on this computer.

Your ISP dictates your LAN network settings?
Mind screenshotting the DNS/IP tab?
