They went full-blown animal

I'm surprised that neither the official forums nor wiki mention this. They were like this for around an hour before returning to their normal forms. But as of this moment, they're in animal form again. And no, you don't need to be logged on a pet to talk to them.

Edit: Here's a close-up of their faces. Hagi looks pretty interesting.

I guess it wasn't actually an hour long, but I assumed it was since they were in animal form everytime I checked mabi in that timespan. Upon closer observation, it seems to be a day/night thing (like it is with tarlach). They also don't sync up with one another when they poof in & out of animal form, but they do it less than 30 seconds apart.

I first noticed this around 10:00 PM pacific. I looked to see if there was ANY sort of mention about this online, but found nothing.

well considering on the log in screen the art has animals behind them that look exactly like them, i don't see why people didn't try and see if that happened

If I'm not mistaken they turn into animal by 6:00 am to 5:59 pm, then turn into human by 6:00 pm to 5:59 am, only after completing the ninja storyline.
