Welcome back :thumb:
If we're asking anything, what's the worst and best aspects of being away so long?
Never been away from my home for more than around 2 weeks.
You often find yourself performing comparable but highly varied work. It's sort of like getting a fresh start. There are also numerous financial incentives for those alongside the opportunity to travel (Dead Sea/Petra/Jerash/etc), though it's always unfortunate to watch people waste away the deceptively large pay increase (typically due to the likelihood that you're not spending money, instead of the paltry bonuses) on souvenirs and stuff. Career-types will probably walk away with a decoration.
The bad? Time spent away from friends and loved ones, potential danger, potentially dreadful work, unreliable internet, largely terrible food (waffles, cheese, gravy = dinner options 1~3, wut) are all notable concerns. Some poor kid got domed while we were there. That wasn't very fun.
