So, what did you guys think about the Ninja Storyline and it's characters?
Overly cliche; the whole thing reminds me of Puppeteer Storyline. A guy (Huw and Anzu) get bullied but make friends (Puppet and Hagi), then learn skills with the help of their new friends, and one of them sacrifices him/herself for the other. It's silly too; all you do is take shit missions which are basically the same thing.
Anzu's okay, but that klutz personality is overdoing it. Sure she's cute, but how she frequently botches egg gathering, ninja stealth, and cooking is too much.
Hagi... is a tsundere dick. He's one of those typical NPCs who uses us Milletians for his own purpose, then even abandoned his friend. He then makes a lame excuse to antagonize the bad guy and not truly accept his fault. He then steals the spotlight by using a skill we don't have. He just pisses me off so much. :shoe:
Rush of Love was more entertaining, I was disapointed since JP's previous exclusive quest chain was better.

I honestly dont get why people play this game expecting the side quests to bring good stories. Im not even interested in the main storyline.

Ascon (C4 Director)
Golvan (C4 Director)
Rush of Love (Also JP, like this sucky new one)
All more recent sidequests with great stories.

The director of C4&5 was a moron when it came to story telling, so he slopped together Shakespeare and a bunch of other crud.

I didn't like how the story forces my character to be useless on first encounter while on the second encounter, I just merely one shot the guy with novice Ninja skills.

........Meh, the whole quest line felt more like just an obstacle for the skills, But then again Im impatience :P Maybe if their cutscenes were like their trailers. Like....Less cheap? I did enjoy the ride though.

I thought it was Anju...
Or is it Anzu in Kr?

It came from Japan firstly* and yes, she's been known as "Anzu" until the dub release. I have zero rational thought for explanation on why they changed it too. @.@
I didn't mind the story but I do agree with Hagi using something we can't get being bullshit. xD

I actually thought huw's story was pretty nice and while the fighter quests were interesting. I absolutely hate harem stuff. I would trade all of these crappy sidequests for books that you can buy from the store, that have a lengthy bit of lore on the skills and teach you it by reading it over and over.

I'm with you on this. It's also slightly off to me that you just learn everything there is to learn from a questline now. Like.. beginner quests made obtaining basic skills quicker, but a melee user still has to go learn charge or final hit. Archery still needs to obtain crash shot and arrow revolver themselves.. Yet there are no outside the box-tier moves to learn for any of the newer skillsets(yet at least).
I'm hoping something will eventually be done to fill in puppetry and that new 2nd and 3rd chain moves will surface as well.. not that the newest chain is even worthy of combat rofl.

It's sad how that's all a thing of the past...
