So recently, the KR Mabinogi Test Crew has been debating where we should host our live streams and this is where you guys comein. Herro recently came across a solution called hitbox.tv which shows some promise and with the direction twitch.tv is heading in, we're leaning more and more towards hitbox.tv
The one thing that's stopping us is the fact that it may lead to decreased viewership of our streams. So I figured I'd run this poll to try and figure out if you guys would be willing to watch streams on this service or if you would rather stick with watching is on twitch.tv
Your thoughts on this are greatly appreciated!
Dammit, forgot to hit, create poll button. Going to see if one of the mods can fix it QQ.

If it didn't stop to load every few minutes. I don't know why, but I can watch some streaming places just fine, but twitch wants to stop and load every few seconds, which it used to not do.
So yeah, if Hitbox worked for me, then sure! I hate missing the streams anyway.

i'd like to know what the "twitch is headed" stuff is about since i don't really keep up with streaming affairs and whatnot.
But in general i think it'd be a bad idea. The amount of people you'd lose is pretty high considering this hitbox tv thing isn't nearly as big as twitch.
The problem here is i'd rather know whats causing the switch then whether i'd watch regardless of any issue. Although i probably would sometimes, the website doesn't really matter to me as long as it doesn't lag me on internet explorer. (BECAUSE IE IS GOD)

Something about copyright and how us streamers that have music playing in the background may have our stream muted by Twitch (temporarily, I think). <- Is what I heard but I'm not entirely sure what's going on.
Hitbox looks O.K. so far but it's honestly still buggy for me. Since it's BETA, I guess we'll see how it goes.
Yes the copyright is the main concern and is what got us all concerned. A lot of us are worried especially for streaming Nintendo games for example. As apparently it may affect speed runs of certain games if the music is copywrited. Right now it only applies to recorded video but there's speculation it may affect live streams in the future.

I wouldn't, but my opinion shouldn't matter. I'm not much of a livestream watcher in general.

I personally think twitch is better, but I would watch either one. :D

Twitch isn't really twitch anymore since Google acquired it some weeks ago. Definitely a good idea to start planning ahead but maybe not so good to switch immediately.
I have an idea to help with the whole different streams thing though I'll contact you when I get home. If you have Skype add me it'll be easier.

You going to have advertise it quite a bit to get people to know that such streaming site exist. It doesn't feel as organized as Tera, but maybe because I haven't gotten used to it yet.

I got skype but I see no skype icon to tell me what your Skype name is QQ. As for advertising the stream, we have our tumblr, these forums, Osay, and Nexon Forums to get the word out which is how we typically announce our streams as we don't do them regularly.
Frankly the turn out from our last stream was one of the best turn outs we've ever had.

No idea how it went from about 10 people to over 100 but that was awesome.
My Skype should be obvious :D

I'd watch it no matter where you'd stream, but from the looks of it, hitbox may be better in the long run, I don't like what's becoming of twitch. Streaming wise twitch works fine for me though. I don't know about hitbox but I doubt it will be an issue.
People that have issues with watching streams should check their processes, older computers and slower internet/internet in use by more people/downloads etc, may also cause a stream to freeze.
I think you will have plenty of ways to get people to know about the fact you'd be streaming on the new one if you decide to do so, so that shouldn't be an issue, imo.

I'd like more details on why you'd want to stop using twitch. All i can find on this thread so far is that you cant use copyrighted music. Is that all? I mean, couldnt you just use music that isn't copyrighted then?

Well the issue is that even games made by developers for their games are getting flagged for being copyrighted and a lot of them wasn't even aware of it. It's to the point where developers streaming their own game content with their game music are getting flagged and having their VOD's muted :(
