Thinking of downloading Vindictus. How's the lag?

  I'm thinking of downloading vindictus but i have a pretty low end laptop and a somewhat bad internet. How laggy is Vindictus compared to mabi?

  Connection is based on the boat's host or something. The level 20-40 24-player raids are exceptions, which uses Nexon's "dedicated" servers.

  basically, when you make a boat, you will "host" the boat...the game servers will still host your character data, but your internet itself will host the boat and monsters

  It depends on your host and your pc. I could have a good host and i'll still lag cuz my pc can't handle it. 24man will always be laggy most of the time, it's not that bad as slideshow lag but sometimes.

  Vindictus is poorly optimized so dont be surprised if ur getting a ton of lag for no real reason. Hosts capabilities are based on their connection+ their computer's specs, as in if they have a bad computer but great internet they will still cause a lot of lag for other people.

  The "dedicated" servers are Alexina's old channel 6 & 7 servers from 2009 - 2010? So they're bound to be shit.

  Just download it and give it a try. Client-side, the game engine is pretty well optimized even for lower spec PCs.

  Download it and find out yourself? These are just facts/opinion, you won't actually know till you play it yourself. If you don't like it uninstall it. I also suggest when you first play host your own mission to see if it lags.

  Tried playing it. Beginning cutscenes were laggy as hell and gameplay for the tutorial kept skipping frames. In town, my fps was 5-15 at lowest possible settings.

  Well I think the tutorial and beginning cutscenes was laggy for everyone. Did you try a instance? If still laggy, you can try lowering down the settings.
