in my state at least all toy guns require an indication that the gun is in fact a toy (i think it needs an orange tip to be legal)
i think it's the same anywhere else and if it isn't it should be

That's not the problem, police are too liberal with gun, people shouldn't have to change anything to fix police's mistake.

That's how it is here too.

I work at walmart in California and someone mentioned something about that. But aside from that, the stories I've read about police shooting first has been pretty dang high. I heard about the shooting in St. Louis and that's a damn shame and I'm black as well. A month ago I was pulled over for not having a front license plate and out of the nine cars ahead of the police car, he decided to pull me over because my older brother was with me and I guess if two black men are in a car together it doesn't look right. And no police officer takes more than an hour to write a fix it ticket.

The KKK has arrived to march in celebration of their hero cop that killed the kid and all the others that are beating down the protestors.

It's without exaggeration on the edge of civil war over there right now. Even the media is being bullied by police to stay out so what happens inside can't be properly reported on (some sneak in anyways though).
The protesters are supposedly chanting something along the lines of "shoot back" (referring to shooting back at any cops who shoot at them).

The constitution has officially been suspended in Ferguson as Police begin making door-to-door raids, arresting peaceful protestors and issue a warning that all media personnel are required to leave or be arrested.

Just what the US needs to start a revolt of some sort... adding ridiculous amounts of fuel to the fire.
If I understood correctly the current situation is:
- Curfew in effect
- Media is banned form the affected areas and has been threatened, by lethal force in some cases ("shoot you in the face" type of threats)
- some police have been photographed not wearing their badges/ID
- homes are being raided
- national guard is on the scene to control the situation
- protestors are chanting to shoot the police
- police snipers positioned just about everywhere
- rumors of police planting people in the protestor crowds to cause trouble and give excuse to use force (sounds too crazy to me though)
On top of that I'm hearing other towns/cities in the US have been getting heavy armored vehicles for their police departments in anticipation of things like this. It's like they're expecting it to get big.

Are you serious? You can get fairly realistic guns that'll convince anybody from a distance from the toy section of any grocery store in St. Louis.
Contrary to popular opinion, people would've started shit if the cop shot a white kid too. Relations between the cops and people of north county have always been godawful. It's just coincidence that it was a black kid because surprisingly, there are a high density of black people up in north county.
Also, despite what the news say, Ferguson is not actually a war zone. It's primarily a few isolated streets where many of the riots lie. Most people in Ferguson are still going on with their day in relative safety.
tbqh if it were a white kid, i doubt he would have even been in this situation and if he were, there would probably already be a law going into effect preventing it from happening again

The cop who spit out life threats is apparently suspended at least.

A law which would be named after him.
