Hi, I'm at a crossroad at the moment. I'm not really sure where to go from my current point, I've already completed G1&2 and I'm sure if I should continue just doing each generation in order or focus on training my skills. The only skill of significance I have is rank 2 windmill and I'm currently trying to rank that to 1. After that I'm clueless onto which skills I should train next. I only have a total of 206 and I intend to be a melee human, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I've looked through the guides on the forums, and many of them are outdated and don't mention some of the new skills. Anyways any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Also raising skills is scary because of CP lol

Why not both?
You can easily train windmill while running G3 stuff, plus the generations will give +AP. That's always a bonus.
One thing that I will say is that you don't have to worry about your CP at all. It's easier to kill higher-CP mobs now, so having a bit higher CP won't be a problem.

So raising all my other combat skills as I go will not completely screw me like it used to?

No. Skills with CP requirements aren't hard anymore.

Nowdays, Shadow Missions give easy and infinite/instant access to monsters that will be boss up until you hit 2400 CP.
And some Saga episodes give monsters that will be boss until 2666 CP, and will still be awful until you hit 4000 CP.
And even when you hit those CP levels, gachas tend to produce items with -CP enchants, and by the time you hit those CP levels spending ~500K on a -500 CP item or two should be no problem.
