I hate my fucking country, I hate the fucking economy, and I FUCKING HATE WESTERN UNION AND OFFGAMERS.

I wanted to buy Final Fantasy XIV, and given that payment options are SCARCE within my country to the exterior. I opted for a third party, Offgamers, I had bought one game from them in the past back when they offered a more preferable payment option, but to my surprise it is no longer supported, and it is no longer available in several other sites, I guess when a country is going downhill, payment services start to cut us out even more.

I'm really enjoying the trial on FFXIV, its giving me that first MMO feeling, its helping me relax after work and study, so I chose Western Union knowing that I'd have to pay some hefty commission fee.

Today payment clears, and Offgamers tells me due to price fluctuations they can't give me the game, and gave me 194.21 ARS Store Credit, instead of the 235 ARS I payed.

When in their support page they MENTION that they have a policy that any Western Union payment should clear before 10 days have passed to "protect costumers" from price fluctuations, if the payment does not clear within 10 days they cancel the order and issue store credit, my payment cleared in less than 20 hours.

Now I can't buy FFXIV, and there's no way I'm spending 100 ARS (minimum required to charge store credit, so I can afford FFXIV from offgamers) (plus taxes and commission fee, which is another 100+ ARS) within the same month.

FUCK

I know this is a longshot, but is anyone willing to trade something valued less than 194.21 ARS in OffGamers for a FFXIV cd-key? (You can go to www.offgamers.com select Argentina and ARS as country/currency and see if there's anything you could be willing to trade.)

Probably not gonna happen, since you are going to lose about 4-5 USD.

But I at least have to ask.

I would need your IBAN and BIC, you can ask your bank for them. Of course the whole process would take a few days.

You can actually give yourself an address from another country and use payment options that are available to that country. I asked my friend for his American address and then used my Canadian credit card to make the payment which otherwise would not have been an option to do in Canada.

Heard about the Argentina bonds default and whatnot on the news. Epic stuff--pretty interesting, too. Didn't realize it would affect payment processors as well.

That'd be one way I guess. :x Sumpfy was trying to help me out, but no dice yet because reasons. I guess it'd be easier through steam. I can send you a wallet card to cover.. uh, 76% of the cost, the remaining 24% I'll give in hugsies.

Steam lets you send anything that you didn't already use up for yourself. If FFXIV can be purchased over Steam, it can be gifted over Steam.

As for myself, I used to since beta and kept my subscription active until last month, but I've had no free time to dedicate to the game after my guild/raid group exploded. I'll probably get back into it when I get more free time, since it's a pretty great game.

I'm not against steam, I just never used it much because never had the need to :p

Though I was actually looking forward to being able to buy subscription through Steam, I'll find other ways, SO really whichever works best for you! You are doing me an immense favor already!
