The standards in science shall be based in core existing disciplines of biology, chemistry, and physics; incorporate grade-level mathematics and be referenced to the mathematics standards; focus on academic and scientific knowledge rather than scientific processes; and prohibit political or religious interpretation of scientific facts in favor of another.

Pretty much.
Fuck the scientific method, all knowledge is FINAL.

I just wanted to post this. The USA seems really bored of being at the top given how she desperately tries to turn itself into a backwater shithole.
They have a lot of spunk, you gotta admit it. Not everyone would would burden themselves with such a challenge out of their own free will.
I don't really find it funny, that joke is a way of dealing with my frustration.

That's actually not a bad way to teach. It raises questions and challenges kids' curiosity. And this is the age of internet, kids can just go online and find out.

A more realistic scenario is that they'll tell you that God made it that way rather than the fired part.

This is completely messed up. The process, in many cases, is actually more important to learn than the facts, both to science and to teaching. Being able to logically derive facts saves you the trouble of memorizing a ton of useless facts--this is similar to how teachers grade math problem solving on the process you use, rather than only looking at whether your final answer is correct.
Sigh.

Can't fire them for being pedos or sucking at teaching but they seem to get fired pretty easily for teaching things properly, which usually goes against regulations.

If someone told me "god did this".
Prove it. Prove that your god made it and not the Greek gods.
