"Every doctor makes mistakes. But, says physician Brian Goldman, medicine's culture of denial (and shame) keeps doctors from ever talking about those mistakes, or using them to learn and improve. Telling stories from his own long practice, he calls on doctors to start talking about being wrong."
Basically Brian Goldman, a physician, is no longer ashamed to admit that he has made some very bad judgement calls as a doctor. His goal is to remove some of the shame surrounding these mistakes so others can learn and grow from them. It all boils down to: Doctors are people too, and they will never be perfect. But when they can share their experiences with other physicians with support and understanding, not only they will learn from these mistakes, but others will too preventing more medical malpractice.
