I do have to admit that a lot of Mabinogi players seem straight-up paranoid. I've had people refuse to take gifts because it got them worried it was a hacked item or I was trying to scam them or something.

If you ask for a drop-trade (items like "storage bags" and the like that require it), if you ask for NX trades, If you ask for code first, If you tell people they were beaten as a c/o for one of your items = Majority of the community accuses you of something foul.
