I met a new player (joined 2 days ago) she is a novice warrior and i have been guiding her. I am a hybrid but by no means know everything about being a warrior but know enough to guide her along to where she doesn't waste her A.P. like we all did on our first character.I have my own little guide I've summed up from other guides merged together on a notepad file. Im asking you guys, what are the skills you think a warrior should work on first(reach a certain rank then work on the other skill.) If I'm not mistaken the new players have the privilege us oldies didn't when we began with out fluted short sword spirit weapon..they now get a Devcat bag and 500 A.P. so I'm just trying to show her that the Mabi community isn't ruined yet,the old Mabi spirit of going out of your ways to help others is still alive. All inputs are appreciated! ^_^
(She has had a lot of the I'm powerful so I'm better than you people come across her so just being a good sport and friend)

she should rank anything that gives str.
However, she should play as she wants to.
No newbie should be forced to grind carpentry to rank 1 simply because it offers the highest str to ap ratio.
Just tell her to have fun and explore the contents in mabi. There's no such thing as a mistake, unless you're talking about r6ing or reforging.
If she wants specific guidance, the best path to take would be completing all the generation quests. More AP and generations allows her to explore most of mabi's contents in good depth, teaching her all that is necessary to play mabi.

I just recently came back to the game to finish my Warrior.
CP shouldn't be a big problem for your friend this early on, so that part of most skills can be ignored. I'd say to try something along the lines of this:
- Windmill
- Combat Mastery, Smash, Assault Slash, Critical
- Armor/Shield Masteries and Defense (the extra def/prot would be really useful)
- Sword/Axe/Blunt Mastery - a nice damage boost, a few levels are fine, but I don't really see it as a priority unless in need of balance (ie. Focused Beams)
- Counter, FH, Evasion, Charge aren't exactly important until going for Master Warrior, which can be put off for a while.
Somewhere down the line, if your friend isn't completely bored, I'd say spend some time here and there to invest into some life talents. As stated above, she shouldn't be forced into them, as most of them are just tedious and annoying.
For strength, Carpentry and Mining are at the top for Str to AP ratios, but can come much later down the line.
If balance is needed, a bit of extra dex could be helpful, and I'd recommend getting Refining out of the way first if possible, as your friend should already have somewhat low dex and many ranks require failures, but it can be extremely time consuming without the help of someone with r1 Synthesis to duplicate ingots, and r1 Fragmentation to turn the ingots back into ores/frags.
As your friend approaches a total level of 1k, try getting her to rebirth into each talent at least once in order to unlock many skills so that she doesn't end up having to pay some extra gold or run all over the place (for example, Herbalism from medicine talent vs. doing Manus' PTJ 10 times, or Synthesis from transmutation talent vs. paying 14k gold)
I am by no means an expert on this matter, but I have been working on getting my warrior up while dealing with the struggles of the lack of ap (i really hate FH) for the past month or so, with the help of friends, so this information is still somewhat fresh.

[UB]If I create a new melee based human without any investment from my main I would do the following:
1. Obtain APs
-Initial Saga Run, and for daily 2.5 APs.
-SM Dailies at the highest difficulty I can handle
-Certain Generation Quests
2. Rank Melee skills
-Crit, Smash, WM, Assault Slash, Sword Mastery, Combat Mastery with APs I gain.
3. Get early-mid game weapons
-Dual Wield 261 Battle Swords or r1 270 Falacatas if I feel lazy.
4. Get early-mid game gear
-Slap Quartz on 80% of my things
-Use Dex on headgear, strider on heavy boots
-Get Snout Earthquake Acc or Quartz/Fugal Sonnet Purple Hearts with 8+ str.
After I reach mid-game, I would start investing in lance skills.
1. Make a Secret Penetrating Lance (cuz I can't afford the repairs on 67th floor)
2. Special upgrade my stuff to r3/r5 depending on budget.
3. Get Thames Set with both Smash and Assault Slash enchantments (probably would be wise not to personalize it. You'll end up selling it later. To my knowledge, most melee-based humans usually stop using Thames in favor of hybridization and/or encore champian gamyu armors)
4. Rank Ninja for stats and never do it again.
5. Rank Ranged Skills
Mid-End Game
5. Save up money for better gear and enchants
Max attack enchants: Oblivion, Dex, Solo, Fleet, Viscount, Camo, Butterfly, 67th Floor, Swarming, Lich, ect.
Gear: Bohemian Set, Clothing, Pre-reforged r1 stuff, ect.
Weapon: Secret 67th Knight Lance w/ ele 6 or dual ele, r1 BDK's Bow w/ ele 6 or dual ele (or r6 HLB if I have enough max atk)
Do Ranged then Puppets or Magic then Gunner (use Automatic + Viscount/Hawk).
Sorry, I got lazy near the end.

I started not long ago but I feel I did pretty good so far.
I did g1 until I get free armor and shield. And then I ranked the shield to master and armor to r1 using the zombie army in another world, and army of goblin archer in barri dungeon. Ranking shield and armor doesn't cost much.
Then I went windmill all the way
After that I did all the saga, all monsters gonna hit for like 1 damage except some. For monster charging magic stuff, just prepare an ice bolt or use charge.
