Several of my neighbors have their tractors and riding lawnmowers stolen last night, and I think the only reason our riding lawmower wasn't nabbed is because my car was parked in a way in front of it that it can't be moved

That sucks and all but I'm really enjoying myself trying to imagine some asshole (or group of assholes) making a getaway in the middle of the night with a bunch of slow lawmowers/tractors.

God fudging dammit. That alone would absolutely drive me bonkers. Heck, when they had an air show in Rochester a couple weeks ago, the sound of those jets flying overhead was driving me nuts.

You know, one of the fun things we did in my hometown was drive a tractor to school day. Seniors did it towards the end of the school year. It was a glorious event.

But you know, the thought of tractor threft just screams redneck to me. There are probably some really good hi-jink stories involving tractors...

It screams business to me, tractors go for a lot of money. But I don't see such huge vehicles being very safe picks for a robbery. Definitely a hish risk enterprise.

not really too hard, all you need is something to hide them behind, a lot of people own property here that is only accessible through a metal gate and a long dirt road.

they don't have tags and can be loaded up on a trailer easily, and since tractors are often transported or sold it's unlikely that they will be caught
