Did they iron out the bugs with that mod? I remember a lot of the videos I saw for it ended with people falling through the world and suffocating to death in bedrock. Lol.

Yeah, it's more stable now(Though you might fall under the ship when you set the boat).

Thoughts on Chisel, and JABBA? Witchery I'm still debating. Good thing about Witchery is that it doesn't do world gen that you can't create through vanilla minecraft means so we can come back to it later.

Mojang needs to team up with or somehow buy bukkit, so there's a standard, non-breaking API for mods that if people respect the API their mods will work on any version of the game. Right now I only play vanilla, or server-side only mods to avoid these issues.

Or just play on a server with a single mod.
And I'm surprised Mojang hasn't made their own API yet, though they did make modding a bit easier in 1.8(With changing Item ID's into names rather then using the item's ID codes).

Sweet, I'll add you two. It'll be easier if you both have skypes so I can add you both to the skype chat I have setup for the server. I'll probably be more lenient on the mods I implement once things get going and people get settled. I just don't want to go nuts right from the get go.

but yea, if we are to add mods with some degree of terrain generation after the server have started, we might one to set up borders to the world to avoid too much terrain generation from occuring.
