While in Blender hit Shift + F to enter 'Fly Cam' mode. This will change your controls into a FPS control (WASD to move and stuff). For the default Blender control scheme, hold middle mouse button to rotate, and Shift + middle mouse button to pan around. The difference between the 2 files is that the second one has all the meshes combined as 1 object.
Just letting you know though Splat, there's nothing inside the ship model. It was created for the exterior look only D:

This is so funny, oh wow!
Well, you see Splatulated... 3D models only have a surface for the most part. They are like bubbles, they have nothing inside, but only an exterior. If you looked inside a model, you will see nothing but empty space. It's really neat though!
