More than 5 hours a week playing a shooter or strategy game? Something tells me they know nothing of these types of games before doing this study. Like you could get home from work and all that , play 1 hour a day for a week, and then all of a sudden you are a "Heavy core player" even someone who hardly plays a game can probably make 5 hours in 7 days. Also clearly if you don't spend money on stuff and are somehow enjoying yourself for hours and hours a week, your still a casual, or light core at best.
"Even though heavy core gamers make up the smallest segment, they spend roughly twice as much money on physical or digital games compared to casual gamers.
"
Like. Judging by all this criteria we all are some hardcore gamers who waste our 5+ hours a week and some money on a hobby that we enjoy a lot.
"Heavy and light core gamers are mostly men while casual PC players are overwhelmingly female."
I think lots of people can disagree with and prove this statement itself wrong.
This just seems like an attempt to say "Gaming is a problem and most people who are gamers have a problem"
