A 14-year-old special needs pupil was raped in her school toilets after teachers set up a trap to catch an alleged sexual abuser by using her as 'bait' - but then forgot about her.

I don't even know what I'm reading any more. How could any rational adult think that was a good idea?

It really seems like the teacher in question set her up for it. Incredible.

The school should be sued, and all of those adults involved should be fired. The articles make it like the adults knew about it, and literally did nothing.
But of course, in the real world, everyone gets away with it, and the victim is the only one to suffer from it.

This shit depresses me so fucking badly. Please tell me they put the fucking kid behind bars. Don't even say that he's a minor. He is more than smart enough to know what he did. He will most likely attempt to do it again. Oh and now we have these stupid ass teachers, trying to act like fucking detectives and leave this girl to defend for herself. How the fuck do you people sleep at night, giving the excuse that you forgot, well fuck you bitch. I hope the judge sends you to jail too.

Sadly, this tends to be the way of things.

Reading the article, it seems the faculty and administration didn't have concrete evidence, so they chose to do nothing, and one dumbass teacher's assistant gave the suggestion for the girl to bait the boy out, but didn't tell anyone else what she was doing. Not that anyone should have put her in that situation in the first place. Whoever that teacher's assistant/aide was I imagine their career in education, amongst other things, either ended that day (this happened in 2010) or is about to end right now. It's possible that they're making the aide a scapegoat to say that no actual teachers were involved in this moronic plan, but I don't think anyone who was actual faculty there would have made such a stupid plan in the first place.
Still, I'd hate to be running for a consecutive term in Alabama right now (or being any 4-years-or-older faculty in that school or the superintendent of that district). This is a 4-year-old crime being dragged out into public view, meaning that not only is there going to be immense backlash over the incident, but also over the fact that there were parties who were content with covering this shit up for at least four years.

Wouldn't be surprised if the teachers still are teaching somewhere, with the way teacher's unions are in the US the only way to really get fired might be to have sex with a student during class, while simultaneously lecturing.
Either that or actually teach the kids properly and not follow the ridiculous curriculum to the letter.
