I actually don't like commentary.
Which in turn makes it very hard to find game videos without any.

I like hearing the background effects of the game, not some person's voice. Helps me feel somewhat immersed like a movie. It's like going to a movie theatre and listening to commentary. *shudders*

I pefer no commentary over bad commentary, and the vast majority of commentary is bad - be it bad oratory skills, a bad voice or bad sound quality.
Or as Aubog pointed out, badly placed commentary. I also love when they just sit around in the main menu talking about stuff completely irrelevant to let's playing, like it's a review. I'm there for the GAMEPLAY. not the graphics settings or the company's background.
If I remember correctly Cynical Brit does this a lot, which is why I never watch him anymore, except for his WTF is... series when I'm actually looking for a video p-/review.

Doesn't help that too many people monetized LP's for an easy buck.

i'd also suggest turning off skype/skype's notifications splat
also streaming doesn't use recording software, it uses something like xsplit or OBS

I agree. I actually prefer no commentary. Games like Maplestory don't need commentary imo. It's pretty self-explanatory. [/FONT]
