So this has been going on for a few days now and when it happened in the past I would just restart it or restart my computer and it would go away. Basically explorer.exe will randomly crash/freeze and ask to close/restart itself. Along with this, it will decide to take up 50%+ of my CPU and slow everything down.
I'll say this right now, I am terrible with the technical stuff concerning computers and what makes them click and usually I solve my problems with google. So far google has told me to run multiple scans for viruses, make a new User on the computer and see if this issue happens on that account, start in safe mode and see if it still happens and use Process Hacker to find what thread(?) is eating up all the CPU. My results have been, no viruses, and this issue occurs on other accounds on the compuer and even while in safe mode. I have no idea how to read process Hacker and when I googled the thread using all the CPU up they told me to do the same things.
As of right now I'm pretty lost as to what to do, I'm going to post in some other tech support forums for help as well. The only things I read about and have not tried so far is looking for some kind of corrupt file that might be causing some weird looping (something about desktop icons, but everything on my desktop looks fine) and checking event viewer to see what it says about the crashing.
If anyone has annnnnnything that might help a little that would be cool. I'm going to go back up everything just in case this is a sign my computer is dying
