New Weapons

  All right, I'm posting this because there are lots of people that want to know about the new weapons but don't know much about them. And also because I've heard people spreading false rumors around. For example, I heard someone say that the new lance will be more powerful than everything else when there isn't even a lance in the new content. I also heard this one dumbass say that the new knuckles will have piercing when it doesn't. All in all, I think these weapons are nice, but people really gotta be kept up with the correct information.

  I will post the details about these weapons later because I'm lazy, but all I gotta say is that the staff is exceptional (potential to be better than hermit) and the bow is the second best in the game.

  Problem is there's hardly any reason to use a staff anymore. And unless I'm missing something, most of the difference between that staff and the hermit comes from the artisan... which is absolutely pointless cause someone who bothers to make that staff will most likely already be capped at 1500 int even with a hermit.

  Current hermit MA: 8 (best roll) + 12 (upgrade) + 20 (Artisan)
  New staff MA: 11 best roll) + 12 (upgrade) + 26 (Artisan)
  
  Whether that much MA is significant or not is up to the player.
  
  Techinically, this staff is the only weapon of the new weapons that is the "best" out of its own category.

  But it will be awhile for it to come out as a pre-r1 Reforged Staff. Not to mention the difference is like 9 MA...
  As the player has more MA, the less percent difference 9 MA makes.

  I'm guessing the piercing is from upgrade. Seems pretty good, definitely not as good as a Bhafel set since those arrows are just too hard to top. Still, good with an upgradeable piercing alternative which means it's special upgradeable I'd assume. Balance is usually not an issue for archers, I'd hope, since dex gives balance if I'm not mistaken.

  I highly doubt they'll add these things as gacha items. Yeah, efficiency wise, hermit stomps it. For a players that don't give a shit about cost involved and is a true min-maxer, this is the way to go.

  Correct, piercing is from the upgrade.
  Balance can be problematic if the bow gets lower than 15%, but the chance is, you won't.

  I don't care about stats without first knowing how they fare on repair fees. Do we know them yet? At the end of the day, I'll gladly trade away 20 max damage if it means 8k repair fees instead of 18k.
