Which armor set would you go for?

At the moment I'm trying to enchant Encore onto armor. Originally, I was going for Encore Ambush on Bohemian wear, but then I remembered about the Gamyu armor I bought last year to try and enchant Encore Champion on it. Since I'm trying to hybrid being a Knight Archer (for some forsaken reason) I wanted to achieve that the best way possible.

Now, I'm stuck at a crossroad between two choices:

1. I can keep going with the full Bohemian set and try to put Encore Ambush on the Wear. It's definitely cheaper and easier.

or

2. I can try to put Encore onto the Gamyu and go for an Encore Champion one, however, that would require either 1 to 10+ enchant protection scrolls, and the fact they're $7.90 each isn't really ideal...plus that's assuming Encore works. Also, I could use my R1 Vine Dexterity Helm and only have to worry about getting Oblivion on it.

In my opinion, I believe the 2nd option is the best since I use melee more than archery, but I don't want to be spending so much just to get a Encore Champion Gamyu. I could always not spend nx, but with my luck I'm sure the Gamyu will blow up when I try to put Champion on it.

So, if you were in this situation, which armor set would you go for?

The first question is, do you have the Champion ES?
If answer is yes, go ahead and make the armor.
If the answer is no, the the question would be do you have have enough money to buy the scroll/patience to get it?
If the answer is also no to this one, I'd advise against it.

Here are some things to consider:
Encore Champion isn't the "best" anymore. It's definitely one of the best option for armors, but if we're talking the best of best, it'd be Long-Lasting Champion Languhiris Chaser armor. From my knowledge, Long-Lasting drops from Rundal advanced hardmode.

If I were you, I'd go for the 1st option, or just get sight avenger thames armor. Much more efficient that way, as I don't see anyone selling champion item.

Nope I don't have Champion, and possibly not the patience either if a Champion enchanted item is really rare, but I didn't know that Encore Champion isn't truly "end game" anymore.

After looking up the Long-Lasting enchant and Languhiris Chaser armor, it definitely sounds end game, but if I said I might not be patient for getting the Champion ES, then I probably wouldn't be patient enough to gather materials to forge the Languhiris Chaser.

However, I got two encore enchants from burning yesterday so I was thinking of trying to enchant Encore onto the Gamyu for the "hell of it" and see if that works or not after enchanting the Bohemian. If it blows up from the Encore, I'll probably just stick with Bohemian.

Although, assuming in the best case scenario, if I somehow passed Encore on both the Gamyu and Bohemian, does it matter what Gloves or Shoes I get to match with the Gamyu since I'll most likely go for the Encore Champion Gamyu.

Reforges > Set Effects > Max Damage

Nothing else matters concerning equipment, end-game. I fully expect encore and champion to be rendered obsolete at some point, much like ambush already is. All that's left are the reforges on your equipment and any set effects that it possesses.

That are much harder to replace.

It's one of those new ninja enchants. Reason why we haven't seen it yet? People don't spam Rundal advanced hardmode. I think I will start spamming it about a week later.

True, but I'll probably go for those very slowly or never since they would take a while to get(unless you dump a lot of money into the game).

Just a note: don't take my words on Rundal adv. That's where some people got the lower-tier enchants from.

I'd feel that the better enchants come from somewhere else.

As far as I know, the existence of long-lasting is confirmed in game (see below) but it has not been confirmed where it was obtained.

The fact that KR does not have this content and NA doesn't run anything but MA means we'll probably find out in a few years when there's better stuff out there.
