Ive joined the TOG forum, talking with people who enjoy the comic in depth is pretty fun. Ill post a question I had there here.
Hey, this could be a completely wrong idea (Actually now that I've typed it all, maybe you all know this and im just stupid), but I just feel like sharing it for opinions. Now,Siu seems to be a fan of foreshadowing and careful attention to detail, so, after reading all of this, I just wanted to purpose another theory. What if Rachel is in fact, the heroine? Now, I dont like Rachel, but, what if she didnt mean to "Kill" Baam, all of us appear to be taking that as truth, when we do not know it is.
In chapter 76, we see Rachel get crushed when Headon tells her that she was not a chosen one, that the tower would not allow her to pursue her dreams, now, Headon insults her character and she watches as Baam is selected as being able to fulfill the dreams that she was denied. In chapter 77 she mentions how the tower is "Unfair" although at this point, Rachel still appears to be a rather nasty person, yelling about Baam, and being genuinely upset. At this point Headon makes a "deal" with her, and she is next seen with Yu Han Sung, a known FUG supporter, who introduces her to the guide Hwa Ryun, another believed FUG member. In chapter 78 we learn that Yu Han Sung knows Baam is alive and is plotting against Zahard , and the guide is sent to fetch him, stating that she will tell Baam why Rachel betrayed him. In season two Baam is a slayer candidate known as Viole, and when regular Ja Wangnan speaks to Viole about "changing" the tower so everyone will be happy, Viole seems to understand. So when Rachel actually attacks Baam, saying "Sorry Baam, you have to die here." Why do we hate her? She was in a team with two FUG member who planned to fake Baams death, how do we know Rachel is truly evil, and not just another FUG member like Baam is now? Rachel could have simply meant he had to "Die" there, not actually, but in the minds of everyone. And in this chapter it appears she is still lying to Koon, but of course, Koon is a member of a royal family, she helped fake Baams death so that he would kill Zahard, it makes sense.
So this all actually seems pretty clear, but im not sure if the rest of you believe this to be the truth? Is this due to me missing a crucial fact, or am I just wrong?
