Alright, so I have a Sylvania SMPK8854B, which afaik isn't too popular of an MP3 player.
Before all the USBs on my laptop died, when I would plug it into the computer via USB, it would charge and show the charging screen, but the computer wouldn't actually recognize it, as in I couldn't access the files on it. Well, the USBs on my laptop died so I couldn't do anything about it, so I've been putting the music on it with a micro SD card, since the MP3 player has a slot for one. This is a huge hassle, since it causes all of my music to be separated. I thought that having a new computer would fix this, but it's still doing the same thing. I would update the drivers, but I can't since it won't recognize it. I was thinking it might be the actual USB cord, but decided it couldn't be since I've tried three of them.
So, does anyone know any fixes for something like this or am I screwed?

I think using the micro SD is the only way for it to save music, or else it probably wouldn't need one, just like some phones use a micro SD for saving files that aren't really needed.

Lol, that doesn't answer anything. It's worked fine before, and just stopped working all of a sudden. The micro SD isn't necessary, I just use it because its the only way I can put music on my MP3 player now.

Oh... When you plug it in does anything show up on the right side of your comp's task bar?

Nope. It doesn't recognize it at all.

If it doesn't recognize it at all, I think there's nothing you can do about it Dx
