Some people lack empathy I guess, or fail to hold life sacred.

I don't know a single prank that doesn't need suspension of empathy. This isn't that much worse than the regular "scare the living hell out of you" prank. I mean it's not like we don't know what feeling sick over someone's (possible) death feels like, I've had enough experience with that for my 24 years, we know full well what she's going through. But it's not a big deal because it's only for a few seconds and no one actually died. Comparing this to real grief over a dead beloved one is like comparing switching to an uncomfortable sex position to rape.
I'd much rather have this prank played on me than the one with the dick on my face, because that robs me of my dignity for an extended period of time. I might still retaliate with a punch to the face in a fit of short-lived anger of course.

It's the thoughts that would race after someone's mind after the prank are what make me feel this isn't as funny. "What if X really did fall off?" "How would I react if this actually was real instead of an elaborate prank?"

Well good, if that happens it means it would make those people prepare. That would actually make this sort of prank a service to the victims.
After all there's a reason we have spooky scary skeletons to begin with, it isn't bad if we consider death a bit more seriously at times. Eventually it gets everyone you love, and they all turn into Halloween decoration.
Yeah I know, I'm a party pooper.

some pranks are just off limits
I.E, would anyone ever "prank" their SO that they're breaking up? or prank someone that they have cancer? completely tasteless and lacks morale. not all pranks are acceptable, just because it's a prank. seriously.

I remember a couple months ago someone made a thread about a prank video, and when I thought it went too far most people in this thread complaining about this prank going too far kept saying the pranks were hilarious and telling me I needed to get a sense of humor.
Seems like everyone's ok with people getting seriously injured, but even JOKE about injuring an animal and you get burned at the stake.
INTERESTING TO BE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE. :smoke2:

A prank is like a physical joke. There are some jokes that just cross the line for some people and incite disapproval. Those same jokes that cross the line might cause other people to laugh. It's all in the sense of humor.
I would argue that there are no limits to how dark a joke or prank can be, but it would cross the line between life and death.

IMO, it's not a matter about people getting seriously injured, or if it's a cute fluffy kitty at gunpoint, it's about the level of familiarity and trust between you and that person/kitty.

Pranks like these can ruin friendships and relationships, it shows lack of boundaries and to many can be seen as crossing to line. I can't think of any but like two or three people who would find this funny if this happened to them.

Yeah, he probably should've known that gal pretty well enough to gauge her reaction, but I'm pretty sure it was done out of "revenge." Having a dick drawn across your forehead would really set the stage for revenge.
Besides, if you're going to be pranking people, you should be prepared to get pranked back.

I think that pranks amuse the prankster the most; the victim of the prank, depending on their sense of humor, may or may not agree. That goes the same for the audience too.

btw, at the end of the video you see a sneak peak of their next video and she's laughing and talking about how impressed she was with his prank, so the victim is taking it better than observers who had nothing to do with it. Lol.
