Chapter 1 : 5/5 Still the best storyline in my opinion.
Chapter 2 : 2/5 Bleh.
Chapter 3 : 4/5 Like the war between fomor and alchemists
Chapter 4 : 4/5 Would had given it 2/5 if not for Macbeth
Chapter 5 : 2/5 If i can abandon Millia, i would had done it long ago, sure in the saga, she is mad at me because i am disturbing her training in saga, but hey i saved her hide back in Nightmare storyline, and more times that i can count in Saga, and the Milletian ( who is a demigod, and holy knight) is getting possessed is a serious problem for all the NPC out there, she just can't even be a little bit understanding. That and Ruairi is still hating me for all the things i never do.

I loved Chapter 1.
Never did Chapter 2.
Chapter 3 was really cool, but I disliked how they made Morrighan kind of... well, genocidal.
Chapter 4 is something I dread.
This saga crap needs to screw off. I've seen people say that it is just a bad anime, but that'd be insulting to bad anime. That stuff is actually entertaining. This is like a bad manwha, or one of those Chinese knockoff cartoons (I'm looking at you space thunder kids). Merlin is just a REALLY bad Donte knockoff. Why is Ruairi suddenly an edgelord again? Why are Mileteanns so goddamn useless? Why did the Gods get turned into jokes compared to these new villains? Remember when Glas was actually threatening?
Fuck, I don't even see people use the transforms for Chapter 1/3 anymore. I don't even see Brionacs anymore.

Too many directions and not enough closure that's how I sum up my opinion of pretty much all storylines. I dislike how something gets introduced then nothing becomes of it, such as with the Shakespeare chapters, they bring up these four guardians, well I'm pretty sure we only got introduced to two or three and never the fourth? Then some of the story lines I find just went too far out there, and didn't get pulled back down to Erinn for them to be interesting. Aces in Saga II for example, the new director has said that they aren't continuing the Saga thing and have gone onto the knights, it just feels incomplete.
TL;DR too much incomplete content and stuff that branches out too much without tieing back to the main story lines.

Hold on, didn't C3 have a number of plot holes? I don't think they ever explained how Cai came back during G11 when he DIED in G9. Not to mention Saga added another hole saying Tuathas age when they come into contact with the Soul Stream, which never happened to Cai.

Saga was the biggest turd devcat had ever taken on the face of mabi.
The best stories though (to me) where the ones I bothered to read. I found the first three pretty memorable (big suprise) due to all the lore you got on top of the nice cutscenes and quests. I also enjoyed g13 and g14. G13 had voice acting and great cutscenes and different types of quests to do. I enjoyed it immensly. It also had a lot of mabinogi story mixed in with shakespear to make it believable. g14 barely did any of that but I'm a sucker for romeo and juliet so.
g15 and 16 I found to be kind of shitty. The poor translation on choices didn't help either. I've already made my opinion on sagas clear so there is little more to say.

13 and 14 were boring as all hell. Saga 1 was ok. This one is turning into a babysitting job, and I don't mean because of Tarlach.

Actually older players (myself included) who complain about how great mabi used to be always seem to forget one thing: ideals. That crap was seriously the worst quest ever created in any game. Oh and lets not forget multi-player rps, making you play as a character you don't want to play as is one thing, but actually finding people who would want to waste an hour of their life playing as crappy characters they don't care for takes it to a new level.

Ideals made me quit for like a year.

I loved G1-G3 so much, the story line and characters were intriguing. It actually makes me feel sad thinking back, they really got something right with those generations that made the game different from other mmorpgs. After that for some reason the game just went in a whole different direction.
I didn't like C3 so much, there was a grander plot but unlike the first chapter it wasn't character driven. From there I just stopped enjoying new content.
