Hello there, so currently I have a ttl lvl 550 human with 900 AP and am looking to make a Warrior duel sword build. The current swords I'm using [mainly for style] are the Muramasa. I keep resetting skills to rank everything, and ATM [though unranked] I have:
R1:
~Combat Mastery
~Defense
~Smash
~Final hit
~Heavy Armor Mastery
~Shield mastery [in case i sword and shield and also because good talent EXP]
I still have plans to rank 1:
~Production mastery
~Windmill
~Blunt, Axe, and Sword Mastery
~Assault Slash
~Carpentry
~Mining
~Transformation Mastery
~Shuriken Mastery
~Sakura Abyss
My Equipment is:
~Random helm, gauntlets and boots
~Royal Knight Armor [currently Unupgraded]
~2 Muramasa [unupgraded]
~Chef Passion [partially upgraded forgot what i did though XD]
Now, beside the Royal knight Armor, all of that is temporary items as I know they are pretty bad, my gaol was to duel weild the death blades and go r6 on them. Also I have no enchanting skills or enchants, so cannot explore that area. Also gold is limited [until Colossus Prices rise a bit and I sell it]
So any tips for me? maybe a skill I should look into? or an armor piece or weapon I should snag? specific upgrades on the armor or weapons?
Also current upgrade plan: Royal knight armor
~Seam strengthening
~Surface enhancement 2
~Surface enhancement 3
~Magic Upgrade 3
~Weiss Armor Enhancement
if that works i should have:
22 Def
12 Prot
14 Magic Def
7 Magic Prot
23 Durability [well 22 cuz I failed a repair point so far :/]

1. Throw all of your god awful equipments away and start using a real set for your combat. This includes your Royal Knight Armor, that thing is better for fashion than combat.
Remember the last thread you made? You can essentially use the same equipments I mentioned in that thread and you'll still be fine for close combat. Or if you want to specialize more, you can buy a thames set. Put Oblivion Dexterity on helmet, Conceptual avenger on armor (really cheap atm), Fleet Viscount on boots, and Expansive (again, cheap atm) Elegant on gloves. For heavy armor, try to find a sight item, as it will be better for you in general than conceptual.
And throw your weapons away and start using real weapons. Muramasas and Chef's Passion. Can they be special upgraded? Nope. That's enough of a reason to not use them. There are only few weapons worth using right now: Lances, Savage wands, Hermit staff, control bar, and guns. So as disappointing as it is, your dual wielding won't work that well.
2. Skills. Your list is alright, but there are still some things to add. Lance skills? Every Ninja skill? These are crucial for maximizing your strength.
As for upgrades, for armors, light and heavy, the trend is to get defense, and for weapons, you should be getting max damage.

ok, well i guess I can look at thames, but how is it better then RK? you see the stats on a fully upped RK? Also I want to know what sword I should duel wield, effective or not that's what I'm building that's what I'm sticking with. Guns and Lances are boring and If I was to do magic I would grab a hermit and use my elf, not my human. Enchant is least of my concern as I have no enchant skill or know anyone with enchant skills so I'm looking at raw stats not enchanted stats.

Smash and Assault Slash enhancement. Later in the game you'll know how to avoid attacks to the point where defense is just a backup solution.

ok, so? by what percent? because losing like 15 def and 10 prot and all magic def and prot is a lot for a bit of damage
also price for full set?

15% multiplicative. Might not sound a lot, but it is.
Full Thames Set Effect:
Smash with 2 hander: 600% x 1.15 = 690%
Assault Slash: 200% x 1.15 = 230%
Smash is the important one, you could save yourself some money if you rarely use assault, but get both if you have the money. Not exactly sure about the price, but it's probably a few mil for the entire set. Roughly the same as a RK armor.
RK armor isn't worth using unless you're a mage or an alchemist who still needs to get a Cressida or a Flamerider Set.

I still don't see why that out-beats a mega def and prot armor? But ok let's say i try and get complete set. What about swords? Beam swords are to pricey both to buy and repair, plus no upgrades. I'm not sure what other swords are good.

The thing is, a few def and prot means absolutely nothing in Mabinogi. Unlike other MMORPGs, tanking isn't a thing. As difficulty increases, the damage does as well. Defense doesn't scale to that level, and neither does protection. If a monster can one shot or two shot you, then it's likely that it'll be able to even with a few more def and prot. You just need some def/prot as back up, but having a few more won't change anything. On the other hand, damage will scale well. You'll be better off killing stuff faster and taking next to no hits, rather than take a ton of hits and taking too much time to kill a single monster. I've seen people who specialize in tanking, and I can tell you it won't work.
As for dual wielding:
2x Falcata is likely your cheapest decent option.
2x high roll str artisans battle swords can outperform beam swords mid game (and if you have NX)
2x ES'd focused rainbow beam gives a good power spike early game
Despite what people may think, making good weapons will cost a shet ton more than buying special versions like beams due to the cost and success rate of r upgrades. However, normal weapons special upgraded can easily outperform their counterparts due to r upgrades mid game, which is why no one serious about mabinogi will use beams, dowra golden guns, bdk's sword, black stars, ect. The only exception to this is the BDK's Bow, which will be good up till late mid game.

ok, so for now looking into Falcata is best bet. I just wish Muramasa could R up XD they look so sick.
as for battle sword I still have 6 artisan removal from some event

Is it really 15% for AS? Wiki doesn't say anything about how much its increased.

It is. Don't trust the wiki too much on recent combat stuff, lol.

Battle Sword> Falcata
If you really want to be this hard about dual sword wielding, high str battleswords are definitely your best bet. However these would be expensive to even make useful. I'd say they'd cost less than falcatas. What I would do if I Were you is buy some from an npc shop, and use the 5k reforges on them until you eventually get two ele 2'd battleswords, then enchant goddess caliburn on them and r5 it. the dura would be a bit on the ehh side but if you use royal guard upgrade coupons that is less of an issue. Honestly if you're not using a lance or hlc you might as well be using beam swords.

There's r1 and r2 falcata floating around still at rather reasonable prices. Also yea, beams would be good for him for awhile, until he gets quite a bit higher level, those repairs though. My advice- if you're on a budget, grab the best equipment you can that's pre-reforged r1. It takes a ridiculous amount of reforges to normally get any item from r3 to r1. You're all about dual wielding now, but keep in mind what you'd like to do next, believe it or not- you'll run out of melee skills to rank rather quick. Lance is your best bet if you love melee. Also grab up all the low AP skills that give strength mining, dischord, and might as well begin your journey to r1 carpentry.
Also in reference to what you were talking about with the armor, you don't need defense. You won't be able to tank in this game unless you have over 1000 int and capped mana shield efficiency, and then ghasts would still demolish you like a lvl 1 player straight out of soul stream (probably) but you shouldn't be getting hit anyways. As for enchants, you should definitely go with all max damage, oblivion dex helm, expansive swarming gloves, fleet viscount boots, and snag some of those stout earthquake accs (they're cheap) and as for body go with whatever you can get that's pre-reforged/ pre-enchanted that you can afford. With your level, I suppose it'd be best to recommend going with blue special upgrades, by the time you get to where you're a crit monster and benefit most from red upgrades, you'll probably have worn through those if you're as hardcore about dual wielding as you say.
Get ready to spend a lot of gold, or nx if you're one of those players.
