I left shortly after the Professor J patch, have there been any major or significant changes to the game since then?

Also, how is the state of the game? Is it still fairly active or is it slowly dying like it seemed to be when I left?

Activity level is something you should decide whenever you hop on! The game's still feels pretty active to me, but perhaps i'm a tad bit biased because my home server is on Alexina, haha.
