Hey guys, after wracking my brain for hours and looking through pages of derp im finally making my first post on Mabination to ask a question which has been bothering me for a long time.

I am currently almost to the point where i am a master warrior, and most of my other skills lag behind quite a bit, i am currently trying to figure out exactly what to do next.

After some testing here's some pretense:
With Dual Wield Shadow Hunter Spike Focused Rainbow Beam Swords (Yes 90~180) I tend to hit smashcrits of around 7000.

With a BDK Sword with no decent reforge I tend to hit smashcrits of around 5000.

I just made a Secret Penetrating Demonic Lance and today i will be able to actually use it after dumping AP into Lance Skills, however with a Penetrating Knight lance i tend to hit Smashcrits of around 3000 maximum.

My questions are as follows:

1. Would a smash 15+ BDK sword do better than my Dual Rainbows or would it be a complete waste of time even if i had higher stats to back it up?

2. How can a lance be more powerful than dualwield if i hit less than half the damage currently? I cant see how i could possibly even come close to hitting 7k with a lance even with Step 6 Red Upgrade!

3. Would it be worthwhile to rank my Alchemy skills up and use a single FocusedRainbow with a Rebis Guard Cylinder? Even though currently my Water Cannon damage isnt spectacular at Rank 5 I think the DPS of a Melee/Alchemy hybrid should be quite comfortable.

I've been trying to find answers to these questions for a while now and I just can't seem to come up with them. If you guys have any tips to share on how i should progress from here also in terms of raising my overall DPS and Survivability in Elite Missions which i tend to have trouble with and other high end content please let me know!

Dex 285
Will 175

1. No. At higher stats, maybe, but you should be aiming for elemental reforge. Preferably 5+, then you'll see a more significant difference.

2. Yes, lances are stupidly powerful, but only with right stats. Simply put, you're too weak right now. You don't eve have 400 strength, of course dual wielding will give you better damage at this stage.

3. God no. Don't ever go shield+sword unless you want to be useless even in hard mode missions. If you're gonna use guard cylinder, only thing you should be using as a weapon is a cylinder.

I can't really answer the 1st or 3rd question, but if anything lances make a difference when attacking monsters or bosses with high def due to the fact they can penetrate defenses. On really weak monsters it would not even matter, but if you attacked higher defense monsters you'll probably see more of a difference.

Also, as ironwoman has said, your strength is kinda low, almost in the beginning game tier.

How close are you to Master Knight though? Those skills can definitely help with damage if they're not R1 yet.
