If I cared about the owners of companies being assholes I wouldn't be able to do anything but stand in my yard naked and breathe because I wouldn't be able to use/eat/drink/wear anything. As long as the food tastes good and isn't stupidly expensive it's fine.

If the owner of the company does something against something I believe in whether it be donating funds to organizations that fight for "traditional" marriage or prevent others from having healthcare I will not support the business
If it doesn't bother you that's great but from seeing it with my own eyes I know that boycotting does work and if we look at chick-fil-A for example they're close to bankruptcy. their profits dropped after their whole anti-gay bullshit, they had a short spike in sales from zealous religious idiots but after the craze died down and they stopped going to Chick-fil-A their sales dropped drastically

I have a coworker who swears by the taco bell, I mean seriously. Words cannot describe his passion for the Baja Blast and all the stuff that Taco Bell has. So much so infact that he can tell the difference when he visits different taco bell's...
I think it's pretty good for the most part. Wouldn't it eat it everyday but they got good quesadillas

They sell cheap food for cheap prices, which is a commodity. The flavours could be better though regardless, so I voted 'Eh.' I haven't had Taco Bell in years though.

Nithiel is right though.
I do agree that we shouldn't support shitty business owners. The problem is most of them are.
All our electronics are made in china, in places like foxconn where workers kill themselves on a regular basis.
Most of the service industry is borderline slavery.
And every company that gets to a certain point will care more about profits than anything else.
Even if a company appears decent on the surface, somewhere in their supply chain they're probably supporting (directly or indirectly) some other company that would make people sick to learn about.
So while we boycott the "evil companies" that do something really dumb and the media or internet picks up, we're probably supporting 100 other businesses that are doing just as bad if not worse things to society.

Obamacare hurts business in general anyway. Its basically a given with a policy like that where ultimately the burden of paying for it is placed on the taxpayers through increasing prices because how dare Obama cut into corporate profit margins.
I still think that the whole concept of Obamacare is dumb anyway. Instead of forcing people to get healthcare, it should have been engineered to make insurance worth having.
Because even with insurance, you still end up paying into thousands of dollars out of pocket for medical coverage- and Obamacare completely neglected to include dental coverage provisions that all too many people are completely without and badly need.
And same as Osayidan says. You basically can't avoid supporting evil corporations unless you plan on being a mountaintop hermit that makes everything you need from scratch out of things you've grown yourself. While measures like buying from local businesses in preference to large franchises can help a great deal in supporting your local economy and discouraging corporate greed, it still will happen at some point in the system.

ACA was considered necessary because people were dying because they didn't and could get insured. I have a lot of pre-existing conditions and the second I turned 18 I was dropped and no one would take me. Under the ACA I could finally become insured but the premium was more than I could afford. |: It's not perfect and is extremely flawed but I think it's a step in the right direction. The fact we don't have free universal healthcare baffles me, health care shouldn't be a privilege.
I know most corporations are corrupt but I have no way of knowing until the corruption surfaces which is when they lose my business. I buy almost everything from Costco which is a company I love and I won't set foot in a Walmart unless I HAVE to. I don't eat fast food often but I like the owner of Dominos. Taco Bell besides have questionable ingredients hasn't wronged me AS FAR A I KNOW, and I buy my burgers from In N Out (owner is a sweet old lady) and Carl's Jr
I try to support small businesses whenever I can.
Just because most corporations are corrupt doesn't mean I shouldn't go out of my way to boycott the ones who have done things to offend me. I'm not the type to say "Well fuck it I'll just have to accept this is how it works"

Well, i work for the postal service, so i get their healthcare. And my premium is i think 60 dollars a check?
Although there were shenanigans with them misplacing my paperwork last march so they terminated my healthcare. I'll reapply when december rolls around, or something happens to me, since if i get rejected with healthcare, i can easily just blame the company, since i have it in writing that management fucked up. Least it saved me 1k in premiums this year
