Its bots splat. Directory or not, they're advertising bots trying to sell subscriptions to a shady adult content website.
MSN used to be full of them, when MSN and Skype merged they all merged into Skype's formerly clean network.

Request that they give you their information so that you can add them. It's what I do. If the person can't trust that you're human enough to do that, then you shouldn't be exchanging any information with them.

Had plenty of those even before M$ bought skype. M$ just brought a whole lot of different problems.
