Two of them had “Keep it Inside†written on their backs – a slogan apparently related to what followed.
After bending forward, the women dropped down on to all fours, all the time appearing to simulate anal sex with a crucifix.
Topless FEMEN activists in France have apparently kidnapped a priest, protesting the upcoming papal EU Parliament visit. Balaclava-wearing, topless activists put a hood over the priest and bundled him into a waiting car.
At the current time it's unconfirmed whether a real priest has been kidnapped or if the man in the video was part of the group going along with a publicity stunt.

So basically, these people are in total violation of public decency laws yet expect everyone around them to cater to their every whim as they make unreasonable demands and take a hostage when their demands are not met.
Okay Feminism, you've hit a new low.

Oh yeah... we were just talking about the open leg thing in class the other day. Something about body and geography, women needs to be aware of the space because her body is not safe, it doesn't belong in public space or something, men are more comfortable open their legs because they are not aware of public space because they are default dominant occupant or something...
I mean yeah I can see that but at the same time, if you wear a skirt, you open your leg, you are just showing panties... If you wear jean and you open your legs I see no problem with it.

In this case all I could find out is they wanted religion out of politics. I don't see how their actions help that cause in any way but I agree with the concept of religion getting the fuck out.

women are expected to have their legs closed because this was a standard in place before we actually wore pants and shorts and we primarily wore skirts and dresses. If we had our legs open you could see our panties which was considered unladylike. The standard stuck even after women started wearing pants, and I've noticed the only ones who enforce this standard is other women

They're just rationalising old and obsolete traditions really. It never had anything to do with that. Default dominant occupant, what the fuck is that? Who came up with that and what were they smoking? Women were never barred from public life in European societies, they were always as much "default occupants" as men. Some people are really talking out of their ass.
It's just what Hanna said. And it's always enforced by the mothers, men don't even really know about it.

Time-geography theory was first proposed by Hagerstrand in 70s. It is an attempt to map our existence by using spatial and time constraint as point of reference.
The feminists use his theory as the basis to reveal the difference between bodies. Time-geography theory assumes all bodies are equal (no racism, sexism), and all bodies experience space in the same way (no space is unsafe for anyone). Which as feminism theorist Gillian Rose pointed out was not the case, she draws example from pictures of subways where men open their legs and women close theirs. She points out some spaces are not safe for women such as park at night, there is a threat of violence if women go to some spaces, and this threat doesn't exist for dominant male (i.e white male). In a recent thread, the girl walking in new york, that's a good example of female in public space and the male reaction shows her body doesn't belong in public. This does exist, it is a real thing.

LOL, of course there is a threat of violence towards males, and it's quite significant, it's just not sexual. Oh, but of course it's the while male, and not just the male... evne so, evne white males are victims to violent behaviour in public spaces.
Let me remind you that another guy also walked through New York and he got cattalked not only by men, but also by women. Imagine that! They even stare at sexual parts not unlike men ogling at breasts. Do you know the video where a guy pretended to fall asleep with his dong outlined in his pants? There is also another video of a woman in Berlin who made herself up in an excessively erotic way (seriously, that was night club 18+ party attire) and no one batted an eye at her (which I personally find astounding). Maybe it's more complicated.
I also don't see the logic in the jump from "individuals show a lack of respect" to "in society, the female body is not considered to belong to the public". Not remotely.
What are the qualifications of "feminist theorists"?
