Atlus announce new game

Atlus announced their newest game collaboration with Spike Chunsoft on a NicoVideo stream.
The game is called Mystery Dungeon and the World Tree and which combines Mystery Dungeon gameplay with the Etrian Odyssey setting.
Going to be better than Persona 5.

Hope your trolling with that last part, not only is that statement highly subjective, the games play nothing alike, nor do they actually compete with each other.

Dragon Quest 8 won a lot GOTY and RPG of the Year awards in Japan in 2004, and it went up against games that didn't play similarly even in the RPG department like Tales of Symphonia, that's perfectly fine.
You're probably scratching your head saying "b-b-but why it makes no sense" and that's because in these situations these games are judged by what they do, and how well they do.

But I doubt you even posted because these games are not 100% similar to one another, probably because "he doesn't think Persona 5 will be the greatest game ever!!!!!! time to post with bad logic >:("

Yea, compare the game based on a trailer with a boys face on it. You should have compared Persona 4, or better yet, Persona Q.Hell, lets even take it further, by comparing it with Legend of Grimrock. Persona 4 had a lot more to do than dungeon crawl. Have you even played persona? The games focus on very different things. By your logic, Smash brothers and street fighter should be compared on the basis that they are both fighting games. Goty awards are just popularity contests and buyers guides. They really aren't that special. I'm not going to bend over for activision just because the latest call of duty got game of the year on ign. Come off it.

I don't give a fuck if you like persona or not. I really don't. I'm glad you think I care about what you think, though.

To go into more why I think persona 4 (not Q) since you want to get technical with me, don't compete since I feel persona is more focused on the story, its life sim gameplay mixed with dungeon crawling on the side. Hell, you grind out social links more than you even dungeon run. I played like 70 hours, and I'm pretty sure 3/4ths of it was me reading dialogue.

I'm not sure why you are comparing it to 5 of all things, which is just a trailer of some dudes face. This argument as a whole is silly, reminds me xbox vs ps war shit.

Missed the point completely when I said games don't need to be similar in these situations. They can be entirely different, but will be judged on what they're trying to do, and how well they executed it.

You're saying it's not fair because they don't play exactly alike which is flawed because in that case the Hashino Persona games can only be compared to RPG with dating sim elements, etc.
By this narrow categorization you shouldn't compare Etrian Odyssey to Legend of Grimrock because even though they're dungeon crawlers EO was influenced by Wizardry so the focus is more on combat, while Legend of Grimrock takes a more puzzle oriented approached since it was influenced by Dungeon Master

Based on what exactly, my first post? The previous post was me telling that it's perfectly fine to say one game is better than the other quality wise even if they're different, if you judge how well executed their gameplay mechanics are (and if they stand out in their respective genre.) Aside from the initial post I never brought it up again.
